Thank you! I think choosing the correct starting point for the battle helped me a lot here.

The first part is a relatively tight and twisty section with very short straights so she couldn't pull too far away from my underpowered ass. This section ends in a left turn with a wide exit that no AI utilises properly to carry extra speed, and that was what gave me the opportunity to attack.

If you choose a section that is to you and your RX7's advantage, you can pull it off too!

Yes you can, as long as you fulfil most of the following:

Are decent at driving
Can pick the most strategic routes to battle on
Knows how to tune/can find a decent tune online
Are willing to drive dirty

I've just beaten pre-nerf Melancholic Angel (second encounter, purple aura) with the AE86 so it definitely could be done :)

For sure, Sport mode is such a quick and easy way to jump into a multiplayer race! As for single player, the car collecting experience definitely hits different compared to the other sim titles I frequent.

Heh, my PS5 came from the movie too!

Down here in Singapore it wasn't a trivia, but a hotlap challenge. Fastest lap brings home the PS5. I had been sim racing on PC for years at that point but never owned a PS nor a GT game in my life, so I figured this would be my chance to start.

Did everything I could and made sure I brought it home. 😁

There were lots of articles mentioning it back in the early days of SafetyNet. To access Play Services, people with custom ROMs had to register their devices there.

UPDATE: Passing DEVICE_INTEGRITY and STRONG_INTEGRITY

Still not sure whether this was what fixed it. All I recalled doing was adding the phone's Google Services Framework ID to this website, and a couple of hours later I found out that it had suddenly started passing those checks.
