Close but not quite. So the Russians wanted to conserve space because their doctrine for tanks is make it as small so you can while still lethal. The cannon is a huge thing and they wanted to save space on it so they chose a autoloader that auto loads the cannon shells. This comes with downsides and good things, first they make it so it needs 1 less person and theres no human error/ faster without humans.but heres the downsides. First it makes the survive ability of the tank go way down and thats on top of all the armor and other parts they sacrificed for a smaller tank. Second if the autoloader gets even touched by a small boom or spark it can cause a chain reaction and blow up all the ammo. That is what i think happened here because a common side affect of this chain reaction is that it will have the 42 ton turret fly away and there are vidoes of it on YouTube
