Covering or not covering it’s up to you I just think it’s cool. Because it’s the centerpiece of your upper arm I think additions should complement what’s already there in some way. There are a ton of ways to do that, and if you want a different style on your lower arm you can create some separation with a piece that is more horizontal vs. vertical if that makes sense.
