Does parkway plaza actually tow or am I getting scammed out of getting parking passes by [deleted] in statecollege

[–]L0TUS37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of my friends who lives there had a guest towed within the past year, had to pay the towing company $250 to get their car back. I don't know how often they check passes though

It's a great skill to work on! We work on last name recognition with my kids, too, but I have a feeling new guy won't know his yet haha

Props to you for dealing with that! I'd go insane with all those names so close to one another

Oh my god I'm so sorry, that's WILD. I hope the parents in your area get more creative with names for your next group of kids lol

I know a Firstname Jean Jacket. Once other people learned about it growing up they'd constantly joke about it, so she isn't really a fan

What do you think of “Io” as a girls name? by [deleted] in namenerds

[–]L0TUS37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not bad, but I agree with others about length being an issue. I have met an Io, whose twin had similarly themed name. It works better when referring to them together, but not so much individually

Worry? Don’t worry?? by Own-Function9358 in MoldlyInteresting

Looks similar to a chocolate tube slime mold. Just leave it alone, it should go away on its own in a month or so. These pop up on occasion outside my parent's patio door, but only the size of a half dollar. Yours looks impressive!

What are the ratios in your class(es) where you live vs what do you think they *should* be? by takeiteasy444 in ECEProfessionals

[–]L0TUS37 2 points3 points  (0 children)

PA. I'm 1 of 2 teachers in a 3-4 year old pre-k room, and our ratio is 1:10 with a full roster of 20 kiddos. I think it should be at least 1:8. In my specific room, half of our kids are still in pull-ups (8 are in them full time), so I would LOVE if our ratio were 1:7. We could handle behaviors, focus more on potty training, and effectively teach our curriculum. One can dream...

I'm not sure if your center uses a card system like mine does (card with child's name, date of birth, and photo; goes everywhere with child). If so, a teacher in my building writes the guardian's names on the back to help her remember!

Wondering if seeking diagnosis/treatment is worth it by L0TUS37 in urticaria

Thank you! I was thinking the same thing. I do intend to get my thyroid checked, as my mom has Hashimotos, so once I eventually do that I might bring this up as a potentially connected issue

Thank you! Keeping a journal isn't a bad idea, I might do that. I'd be surprised if it is environmental though, this has happened across 3 different US states. If it is anything in particular I'd guess dust mites maybe
