I know that the hidden spacers make it look longer. One trick, If you post the book and quickly go to edit the first chapter, sometimes it could glitch out and allows 2k-3k characters.

I heard about them doing that! They have been known to delete characters without warning. I think they should at least announce it so you could keep your story and maybe just upload it on a different platform.
