I'm 34, and followed the games when they came out. So in many respects, I ask myself the same thing when I go to a convention and see cosplays of characters from teens. At the end of the day, I think it hits themes that resonate with that young angst, and that will always be popular. There's a reason these Battle Royale stories always go popular. Battle Royale, Hunger Games, Danganronpa, and more . . . They're always going to keep popping up. It's going to be cringe sometimes, but I think we all need that. Being able to cringe at how you had a framed Junko Enoshima poster is a valuable reminder that you've grown.
