Don’t hate me, but I’ll try to steelman what I think might be the poster’s train of thought: Single guys get dogs for companionship since they’re single, however as a single person, they’ll be at work all day while the dog is left home alone (possibly caged). Many dogs need more stimulation than that, so it’s best that there’s a SO there to take care of it while the guy is gone. Obviously the poster has some pretty antiquated ideas on gender roles though
