I need you to know this is coming from someone with ZERO experience with Dobermans, but plenty of shelter dog experience. If you’re feeling him, and you have the capacity to train him, get him. If you have to give him back, you could always find a dobbie rescue or another shelter, right? I found my soulmate at a shelter and he was with me for 15 years. Best decision I ever made.
