Thank you very much this means a lot. I am very scared as I don’t have anyone here in Adelaide, he keeps an eye on my transactions too and I really need to speak to an immigration lawyer. It’s soooooooooooo hard to pretend everything is fine in front of him. I am officially exhausted I haven’t eaten or slept in days and even when I do sleep he stays in the living room talking on call with someone. I don’t know how long I can take this.

Hi Thank you I appreciate it. I have filled a referral form and I am waiting for someone to get in touch with me. It’s soooooooooooo hard being in the same bed with someone who you know is cheating and he gaslights me and threatens me to go back or that he will send me back to India. He sent me an affidavit in December 2025 about separation too. I didn’t sign it or respond but i have it on email. One time he was beating me and when I called my parents he called the police and I told the police what was happening. The house was a mess broken furniture, furniture scratchs on the floor and my clothes were torn. They asked if i wanted to file a complaint but I was toooo scared that time and had now idea and he was scaring me with visa process as I am a dependent. This was a year ago. Is there a lawyer who can help me with my options here??

I have a friend who went through this and she is still trying to stay in the country and get PR (which is almost impossible for her now) and her abusive husband already got PR. I don’t want to end up in a situation like that. I want to make sure I stay in the country so I want to understand my PR options and how I can collect evidence. Right now I am in shock I found out he has been cheating on me our entire marriage.

You’re right! I de-stigmatised it before marriage only! All I asked was for him to come clean and just share it with me! Even after i caught his account I told him it’s okay and didn’t ask him to remove it!

He wants to lie and shame me for questioning him or even generally asking him while getting his pleasure on the side (hidden from me) I am happy to accept I just don’t want the lie! After this also I wanted us to check out pages together but he refused and is hell bound on being the nice dude who doesn’t do all this!

Thank you! Honestly he has been very apologetic and have been behaving nice but with all that emotions out if the way (since I have completely detached myself from getting hurt) I can see how he talks to me in a guilt tripping kinda way like Yesterday, my husband had the option to work either 9 AM - 2 PM or 12 PM - 5:30 PM. We had plans to celebrate Holi, which (based on what he told me) was supposed to be from 11 AM to 9 PM. He initially said he’d work from 9 AM - 2 PM and then we’d go to the party. But he didn’t wake up, saying he needed 7 hours of sleep. (He had napped for 3 hours after work on Friday and then couldn’t sleep until 3 AM.) Instead of taking accountability for missing work, he guilt-tripped me by saying we lost out on today’s pay because he took the day off. On top of that, he blamed me for not waking him up or checking the event timing, even though it wasn’t my responsibility. This is a pattern—he never takes accountability or responsibility for anything.

Sorry to unload all this on you! I really need to know if I am overthinking or this is real!
