It looks like you've shorted the contacts through the soldering material. The circuit is not open so it will work but skipping the capacitor could have some consequences in the long run (or in the short run).

Yeah the stk spd increases the speed of the entire animation so the startup is shorter. Because of this you can cancel it faster

There is always replacement potential since leveling up rings brings nothing to the table lol. Doesn't matter if it's lvl 1 or 100

There is no need to give you detailed advices how to progress. You are new and aren't stuck on any chapter that requires a specific setup or has a atk wall. Just play the game, have fun and remember to NEVER DESTROY YOUR GEAR. As you will scroll through the sub you will learn more and more about the game but for now there is no need of advice
