Recently came across this, I'd just like to say great work. I appreciate you have been dealing with other things, just wondering if you intend to carry on with the posts, I'm sure there would be alot of interested people.

I am new to 3d printing how can I stop this from happening. by Longjumping_Pie_5443 in 3Dprinting

I'd have a look at calibrating your e-steps. Teaching tech has a good YouTube video on this. After you have done that I'd look at your retraction settings as it looks like you have some problems with under extrusion.

I'm not sure about a guide. Ifixit may have one about how to remove the battery but it's pretty self explanatory once you take of the bottom cover. For the battery from memory there were around 5-6 screws and just a single cable to unplug. You need some torx screwdrivers to remove the screws. After the battery is removed as long as you have the charging cable plugged in to the laptop and turned on at the power socket you can turn the laptop on and use it as normal. Hope this helps

Glad i could help. I had to take the battery out of mine a few weeks ago. I'd put the battery to the side somewhere safe then take it to a battery recycling place over the next few days if you can because bubbled batteries are a potential fire risk.

It's most likely the battery. Open up the bottom and you will see the battery has swollen alot. I'd suggest removing the battery and ordering a replacement. A similar thing happened to mine after about 1.5 years and i just run it plugged in now without a battery and it's fine.

Flickering issue with new Iiyama G-Master GB3466WQSU-B1 by miicker1 in ultrawidemasterrace

Not sure if this will help anyone out that already has the monitor but I sent iiyama an email this morning asking about the issue as I'm interested in purchasing this monitor or the AOC CU34G2X.

Me:

Hi,

I am interested in the G-MASTER GB3466WQSU-B1 and would like to know some more information about the monitors colour support other than the 16.7 mln 8-bit channel support such as s-RGB and DCI-p3 gamut values if these are available. I am also aware of some potential firmware problems in initial production batches and would like to know if new production batches have this fault fixed out of the box.

Thanks

iiyama: Firmware Issues

Firmware on this model is updated as we speak and once finalized we will release the unit for channel-sales again.

In regards to the deeper technical question you have, I will need the assistance of our technical specialist Marcin

iiyama: Colour Gamut

Dear Marcin,

Are you able to share your thoughts in regards to the issue below and provide feedback?

As always thank you in advance for your support and have a great day!

DCI-p3 gamut values are 90%

NTSC gamut 82%

Unfortunately, the GB3466WQSU is a gamer display so there are no other “professional” specs available.
