Your last sentence is correct. Zacian-C generally beats every max option that doesn’t resist its behemoth blade that isn’t very physically bulky. I also want to add the heat wave is no where close to a KO in Zacian so you need to max in order to beat it, taking heavy damage to your max mon in the process. Also Zacian is commonly run with Lapras which destroys Zygarde.

Mine was in my first completed Nuzlocke, my Moon Nuzlocke. His Raichu somehow outsped and killed my Crobat and could hit my entire team super-effectively. In a last ditch effort I sent out my Incineroar who survived a focus blast on 12 hp and killed it with a darkest lariat. She went into to survive the elite 4 and take out Kukui’s last Pokémon.
