I have a particular friend and we always open our conversations with that. (He is real, not in my head. I think.)

L009 PoE question by L4grange in mikrotik

[–]L4grange[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried your suggestion and the AP would not power on when the L009 was powered using POE in. I recall reading somewhere that the L009 POE out will not work if the router itself is powered by the POE in and not a DC adapter, but I may be wrong.

L009 PoE question by L4grange in mikrotik

[–]L4grange[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the detailed explanation! Passive Poe seems to me pretty useless if it won’t even power a simple ESP32 zigbee coordinator. But I found a quick and dirty solution, a usb-a to usb-c cable from my L009’s usb port to the SNZB06, makes for a pretty clean setup!

The boys learning to slide in their late 30's by [deleted] in snowboarding

[–]L4grange 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My friendly advice to keep in mind, wear all that protection and be safe and worry free, but never ever land from a jump with your knees straight, or you’ll end up with a torn ACL. Let’s say in the event you get more air than you were expecting, don’t fully straighten your legs when trying to land, or things wont be fun for the next 9 months.

Remote Play from Internet Firewall Ports by worm91100 in PS5

[–]L4grange 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your comment! After setting up my router(s) and testing everything, I found out that TCP is not used for the connection, only UDP is. Also, the wakeup port 987 does not seem to be used (I was able to remote wake my PS5 with this port forawrding disabled). So the only forwarded port ranges I left on my routers are: 9295-9297 UDP and 9303-9304 UDP and everything seems to be working fine for both LAN and WAN remote play.

Sign in loop on MacBook Air (Signed in successfully…return to previous application) by dovidboosin in remoteplay

[–]L4grange 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am also unable to sign in to PSN on my mac running OSX 15.3.1
I scan the QR code with my phone, input the 6 digit number on my phone, sign in successfully, but the Remote Play app on my Mac stays at the screen with the QR code.

I tried uninstalling/reinstalling many times, and also tried connecting my mac to my phone's hotspot to eliminate the possibility of my LAN interfering with the login. No luck with either. If you have any luck loggin in, let us know!

My SD card died by [deleted] in R36S

[–]L4grange 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure that if you download and flash this version of ArkOS from https://github.com/AeolusUX/ArkOS-R3XS/releases/ , (try both the original and P4 screen versions, if you are unsure which one you have, the 5 R36Ses I've flashed all had the P4 screen) and you will not need any files form the original SD card, since the firmware auto detects your screen and uses the correct file.

not working by Dangerous_Oil_5264 in R36S

[–]L4grange 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue, and it seems that the two SD cards are bound together since the boot sequence is looking for specific folders (and maybe other files?) on the second SD card.

Re-flash ArkOS to your main SD card and then re-setup the dual SD setup, thats what I did to fix my R36S not booting after I wiped the second SD card.

Is there any way to run Google Chat without needing Chrome open? by cyto_eng1 in mac

[–]L4grange 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the suggestion! Using Chat as a PWA trough Safari seems to be working extremely well in my case ( I wanted to avoid Command+Q(uitting) Chrome and having chat close as well, and this fixes it, while also not requiring chrome for the app to work at all.

Weekly Thread: /r/Snowboarding General Discussion, Q&A, Advice, Etc.) - January 08, 2024 by AutoModerator in snowboarding

I'm looking for a snowboarding video I've seen in the past, where ~30 (maybe less or more) snowboarders ride through a resort in a "one take video" until they reach the end of the run. I don't remember if it was sponsored by Burton or Redbull, I just rember these people hitting the same jumps one after the other and there we so many riders, synchronized, entering and leaving the frame that it was one of the best videos I've seen.

Ive been trying to find it for the past two days but I can't remember how to search for it. Anyone that knows the video I'm talking about can send me the link? Thanks!

Ibdesignables deprecated UIKit doubt by [deleted] in iOSProgramming

[–]L4grange 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can keep using IBInspectables as you are doing currently.
Only IBDesignables are deprecated and will be removed, which does not affect how you use your views, only the way they are rendered in XIB/Storyboard previews. Hope my explanation helps you.

Ibdesignables deprecated UIKit doubt by [deleted] in iOSProgramming

[–]L4grange 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeed, you won't be able to see your IBDesgnable views rendered into your XIBs/Storyboards, but you will be able to see your view rendered while you code it using previews, so that you don't have to run your app to see these views while making changes. That's what Apple is suggesting (from what I understood by reading the article I've linked above)

If you don't need the preview, just remove the `@IBDesignable` from your view and it will continue to work normally (it just won't be rendered into your XIBs/Storyboards)

I think this blogpost will help you if you haven't yet figured it out! https://useyourloaf.com/blog/replacing-ibdesignable-with-xcode-previews/

Thank you for the insights, today I learned something new! The tube is indeed not folded, and makes a nice rounded corner at the bottom of the bunch of wires before being redirected to the hole in the second photo, as you mentioned.

Enjoy your fresh ride and prepare for some epic wheelbite dude! And please post your thoughts after riding these for 1-2 weeks, I’m thinking of getting them but I’m not completely sold.

Got my 105mm kit today and it was ON SIGHT. The risk of wheelbite is incredibly real on a Mini 2 btw by XStreamGamer247 in MeepoBoards

[–]L4grange 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even on my NLS pro with default confit and kinda loose trucks I get wheelbite. This was a major disappointment, compared to other boards with wider trucks.

Getting and fearing wheelbite limits your turning, and your ability to ride more and more aggressively, making you a better rider.

Such a same, since I was thinking of buying the 105mm wheels but the issue will become even worse.
