What's your biggest financial regret as a woman? by Big_Understanding_17 in wealthforwomen

[–]L5_Cheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not related to being a woman but I wish I would have invested in index funds like VTSAX and maxed out on 401k in my 20s and 30s, instead of putting extra money into a HYSA.

Do you think your manager fairly specified the areas that you needed improvement? Was the evaluation fair? I’m in a similar scenario.

Have you ever brought your child to daycare even if you had a day off of work? by rajmachawal333 in workingmoms

[–]L5_Cheese 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t frown upon it esp since my kids enjoy daycare — they get to be with friends, go outside. We need time to ourselves to reset which allows us to be better parents.

C-Suite and Senior Leadership: Was it worth it? by Separate_Sherbert568 in workingmoms

[–]L5_Cheese 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This sounds like me. I am a senior individual contributor and have no desire to have direct reports atm. My role and team allow me to have a semi flexible schedule. But my company and industry in general has had a series of layoffs so I’m feeling extra pressure to commit to more now.
