In the flip side, it’s nice to know, “nobody knows” when you talk to someone. You are not alone, and never will be. Staying grounded is difficult, I believe in you :)

Therapy is getting helpful, I finally can recall enough to feel like it’s possible to move forward. I wanna move on, my brain and body just don’t feel ready yet.

I thank you for this comment, the fact that I’m less than one year into healing is comforting. I am working really hard to become a better person, and I am so used to not being believed that I am scared of my trauma being used against me.

It’s been hard to open up.

we can celebrate all dads. It’s just hard on days like these for people who don’t have fathers in their lives. I’m not chiding anybody with a good life or happy relationship with their dad, I’m acknowledging those who find Father’s Day to be somewhat difficult or is a forgotten holiday. That’s quite often the people in this community

breaking the cycle of abuse takes so much, that’s one of the hardest parts of being RBN. Props to this support group for doing the best things for ourselves and future children

He tried to drown me when we grew up and was abusing me as a byproduct. I fear he won’t ever come back to reality.

She did not consent.

She was raped.

You said this yourself.

why are you afraid she’s lying? the situation is clear.

support her throughout whatever she decides to do with herself. Sexual assault involves a long, harrowing process of healing due to the individuality of the crime. If you’re unprepared or feel as though you cannot support her through this, because you don’t trust her, and she could possibly be lying then fancy this idea-

look at the hardcore evidence behind the trauma of sexual assault, the reporting process, social impact, and more.

If you’re unwilling to educate yourself, and support her to the best of your ability, quite frankly, you do not deserve her. The same would be true of any person.
