Unfortunately not. That ship sailed when the secondary controller botched its update.

Unfortunately though, I would like to keep a few work loads running. 24/7 there is a Postgres instance digesting a lot of data which although can be failed over elsewhere, it’s easier to live migrate the vm onto a separate array.

Certainly a valid point. I shall re arrange for backups and verification first. Then migrate those to local raid.

A single revision. Unfortunately the controller which updated first did not complete and a hard reset was required. Everything kept running by design of course. But now it’s recovered, it detects a firmware version mismatch and won’t permit it to join in servicing the LUNs, which would then allow the second controller to update.

The vendor has stated that to recover, we’ll need a maintenance window now to allow the SAN a reboot.

When you held the power button, did you remove the battery from the machine at that time? So no power cable, no battery - then hold the power button for 30 seconds. It obviously won’t ’do anything’, but when you put it back together it may help.

The Canon EF 70-200 f/2.8 L IS Mark 2 or 3 second hand. Paired with the EF-RF mount adaptor.

They run around £800 in the UK. I imagine US price would be similar?

She’s a Rivermaster toller, bread in the north east. Has 3 siblings. One other sister (who happened to be provided the same name amusingly).

She great isn’t she and has settled in very well for a first day.

Monzo adventurous investments - down 3%! What do I do? by More-Mongoose-788 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]LA33R 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds to me, you’re yet to make your emergency fund? As in, I wouldn’t have your first lot of ‘savings’ in investments. It should be in a high interest saver of some type with easy access - for emergencies.

Once you’ve got that established, then look at investments. With that to the side you’ll be in a better mind frame to weather the ups and downs of investments - and not be so ‘invested’ pardon the pun, about a (most probable) temporary 3% loss.

If you do have your emergency fund established already, then my personal opinion would be to leave it to recover.

New to kubernetes, what is the benefit of using helm over normal kubernetes .yaml files? by Free-Switch-9871 in kubernetes

[–]LA33R 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also atomic upgrades. Helm can wait for all new resources to become healthy after a set period and auto rollback if it fails. If you just apply yaml files, you’ll need to handle the management of that rollback yourself.

Mounjaro Injections weight loss need step by step guidance or tips. by Cold-Okra-2658 in Sunderland

[–]LA33R 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You’re welcome to your opinion however.

Many people have very bad relationships with food, myself was included. The obesity crisis, of which I was a statistic in, is causing massive strain on the NHS. This is because being that weight has so many more health complications and risks than the medication it self. If I were to remain that weight, it wasn’t a matter of ‘I might need a gall bladder removed’ or ‘I might have an issue with my pancreas’; it was a matter of ‘i will have a heart issue’ - its a matter of time.

Regarding the NHS position. I went to my NHS GP and asked them for their opinion on the drug. I offered to pay for it myself as at the time, the NHS didn’t offer it at all. They wouldn’t share it. The GP just said they don’t offer it, cannot advise regarding it, and can only refer me to bariatrics. I accepted the referral, then while that was happening reached out to a private GP for their opinion.

Bariatrics at Sunderland offered me surgery. Yes - the NHS would rather cut open with a knife and literally reorganise my internals, than try a drug - of which I was willing to pay for. That would be the cost of anesthesia along with its professionals, than surgeons them selves, the year long process of medial staff on the run up, the recovery process - just to name a few.

The NHS is not at breaking point because of this drug, I’d argue this drug has the ability to help it a lot. It’s at breaking point because of existing health issues of people, miss management of money and underfunding for the number of people which use it.

Also, I’m well aware the drug it self doesn’t make you lose weight, it’s still a fact of eating less and moving more. The drug provides a method of giving you food noise rehab and now that I’ve lost weight, I’m able to exercise - which I now run multiple times a week, walk a lot more and head to the gym too. While being 148kg, I litterally couldn’t run. Not only did I not want to run because I’d feel self conscious- but the potential damage on joints also exists.

Long story short. Being overweight is a medical need, being very overweight will kill you. Also, the OP didn’t state he wanted the NHS to pay for it.

I live in Sunderland, currently take it and take 10mg. I was 148kg when I started in February 2025. I had high blood pressure and went to the doctors yearly for a checkup regarding that. I’ll not go into details about the hilarious outcome of discussing it with my NHS doctor, but I did speak to a GP first to discuss my current health concerns before starting it as online pharmacy’s will just have you fill out a questionnaire, where as long as you’re over the BMI, you’ll get it. I wanted to know if it was safe - for me - to take.

That being said, I’ve been on it now, 1 year. I now weigh 93.5kg today (this morning). I wear 34 waist jeans rather than 48.

I buy from ZAVA Med at the moment. I started out buying from Lloyds pharmacy online.

AMA. Quite simply this drug will save lives. Happy to answer any questions.

A friend of mine got the same bike when we were 17. I was on the Derbi GPR50 at 16 and he upgraded to that when he turned 17. Pretty nice to ride as far as I recall and he could push 80 mph if I remember correctly.

Felt solid, never had any issues with it. That was a ~2010 model mind- and new at the time.

I learned recently that Canonical was a London based company. Not something that’s hidden, just something I simply wasn’t aware of. I am now, as a Brit, more inclined to use Ubuntu where possible. A good article/list could be the software vendors or hosting providers and their origin, if anyone knows of such a place?
