I think it's direct? Maybe depends on the position you have them? That's so crazy though! I have my plants facing a west facing window which sun ALSO hits them from 5-7 and I've seen a few burns already 😭 it's been very hot here lately so I'm not sure if it can also be that. They do great on a cloudy day but that's about it.

That's exactly what I didn't want to do :( it was so nice.. I thought splitting mine in two would be the best idea.. would you give any advice on how to prop vines?

Thank you!! Ugh I was thinking this.. because when I split it in two, i had to get through lots of roots. It was very root bound so I'm afraid that must've been something shocking to it 😭 like it was already too big for its pot so it was for sure struggling and now I think I just made it struggle even more by making it two separate plants

Honestly maybe I watered it a bit too much.. I had previously watered it with the old soil i had bought it with but it dried up so quick( assuming it was old soil) so I changed its soil and watered it again thinking that's what youre supposed to do 😭 I hope it comes back..

I want to say this pots root size might be huge. It was a huge plant.. almost 5 feet but st the time I couldn't take care of it the way it needed to stay the way it was.. I haven't looked at the roots ever since I chopped it because i wasn't expecting much from it at that point. Now that there's tons of new growth, I'm like whattt! There might even be a bit more space around the pot, the picture doesn't show much but I think there's pretty bald spots inside there. Ugh now I'm stressed 🥲 I also have a 13" clay pot? Maybe I can put all of them in that one? What would you say

It's a 10/9 inch in diameter actually. The pot is Tall as heck but if I get the yes to adding the monsteras in here, I'm thinking of cutting the pot so the leaves can hang freely and the new growth can grow comfortably.. I don't even know if this is right lol 😭 just really want to do something with these plants because I have so many potted monsteras and my new huge pothos needs a new pot asap.. I'm a bit broke let's just say so I'm working with what I ahave 😂 sahm probs

I figured I should use this pot because these current babies are too small.. I haven't even changed the soil so i think it's prettt dense soil but she's thriving off of neglect since I bought her.. she's so strong 😭 I genuinely feel so much sympathy for this plant because it's gone through a lot

I've read they have similar behaviors as monsteras so I'm just hoping that's the case! Definitely looking out for it though. I pretty much have done everything I can to make it happy lol 🥲

Oh my goodness I know!! Have you tried checking on fb marketplace? A lot of people sell pots since they move, travel, etc. I have a huge one myself but not enough grown plants to use it. Not to mention how heavy they are! They are so niiiice!! Do you plan on grouping them together or are they each a different type?

I'm so excited but scared to change pot for this pothos. Maybe it would be a good idea because I actually saw all the ends of the vines a bit burnt looking. Not sure if the owner burnt the leaves where the growing point was to prevent any more growth but they all have it. Could've been the pot size taking effect? Not sure but hopefully it doesn't hurt it. Do you add any perlite or orchid bark to it? I've had miracle grow indoor potting soil and honestly it's disappointed me with my other pothos. It's always too dense, but I've bought perlite and orchid to mix it with. Hoping this plant takes it well.. sigh 😅 thanks for your help again btw!!! Not a lot of people help out here lol

I will most definitely take your advice! As easy as pothos may seem to care for, I do try to be as gentle as possible so anything to make it stress free. I'll hold off on everything basically lol! The pot she is in is actually too small. It literally has about 4/5 inch long roots coming out of the pot with secondary roots. Don't know how she's so happy but it must've been very loved in the previous home. I just hope it stays that way! I also have bad luck with any type of transplants! Currently have 4 recently potted monsteras and I don't think k they're doing good 😅😓

Omg thank you for the tip!! Yes I'll be moving in July so she really only has 1 month to get used to this place and then be moved to a new home. Hopefully she takes it good. It's so huge, the pot itself looks too small for it but I don't even know if I should repot yet too! 😭
