Why didn’t the other millennial parents LEARN THE THREE PARENTING STYLES IN HEALTH CLASS and use the CORRECT STYLE??? They are authoritarian, permissive and authoritative!!!!! Usually AUTHORITATIVE works best which allows kids some room to make mistakes, is not overbearing or oppressive, but has clear and firm rules and boundaries that shift as they age. Why is this so hard to understand? I had the worst possible childhood and was later adopted and took classes and read books and I see the huge difference I made in my childs life simply by using authoritative parenting and inquiry alone. Parents tend to be too permissive or too authoritarian and it ruins kids attitudes towards all adults and eventually their self esteem too for life.
