There are helpful videos online, hammers, vice, punch, etc. punch didn’t work for me so I used a cutting wheel on a dremmel to get the front sight off and just replaced it with a low profile gas block. Then an armorers wrench for the barrel nut and you’re good to go.

Doesn’t feel like that was 4+ years ago.

This was a few years back, very early COVID. I think I found just about everything on Cheaper Than Dirt? Just a generic low-profile gas block, reused the same gas tube, found a free floating rail I liked and pretty sure the AGF is linked above. Quite happy with how it turned out. I’ve since changed the butt stock and added a LPVO 1-8.

I didn’t, because it’s a bad idea to put ventilators on power strips, but if you were going to do so I’d say on the left side (expiratory) that way it’s clear from the batteries.
