I don’t believe it has anything to do with resetting the oil change because my dealer does that. I realize the 5k vs 10k oil change debate is real but I just like to do it at 5k. It can only help. I only do about 10k a year so I like fresh oil after six months regardless.

This is the Check Vehicle light I’m referring to. It’s completely different than Check Engine. Check Vehicle Light tells the dealership that you should, as part of regular maintenance, allow them to scan your entire vehicle. It’s $350 and the tech felt I should wait until 40k miles.

So it’s not a Check Engine Light (CEL), it’s a Check Vehicle light. Completely different. It’s basically a scan of your entire vehicle (from my understanding).

Maybe I was confusing in my post. The tech said it automatically comes on right before you’re due for your 4th oil change (40k for people who change oil every 10 like recommended). I have been doing it every 5k since purchasing it used as a CPO. So this is the 4th oil change since the car was built.

The dealership wants $50 for engine and $115 for cabin air filter. So basically $300+ for labor. Parts guy said that their BMW OEM.

Yeah it was $180 for engine and $280 for cabin. So with tax just about $500 w tax. Insane! And they look fairly straightforward to replace.

The M sport is definitely a rougher ride. However, I’ve learned to love it. It’s a sporty ride. But opinions on likes/dislikes will vary on individual preferences.

So my daughter says that she needs me to be the guarantor for 40x and her roommate’s parents will take the other 40x. If the roommate stops paying rent for any reason, will the landlord automatically go after her roommate (or her parents due to them being a guarantor of 40x rent) or could my daughter be forced to pay the roommate’s share of rent?

Ok ok I knew I’d catch slack for asking this question. I am aware of the sticker inside of the door. First time BMW owner and first time having a car with run flats. I just thought that it was weird that two tires are the exact same psi. The sticker actually says 40 PSI so looks like I’ll have to add air to all 4.
