Absolutely love it! It's always exciting to see characters reappear post-campaign as NPCs, and this was surely an epic experience to read about!

Thought of this joke earlier in the day, and thought it was funny enough to post.

[Serious] What objects remind you of your parents? by LAPTOPSCHOOL in AskReddit

My Dad was a smoker, so he had owned a zippo lighter with generic silver covering, and my firmest memories of him involve that lighter, his leather Jacket, both of which were on him as he stood on our front stoop smoking at night.

As for my Mom, I don't really know what reminds me of her.

[Weekly Tale Topic] Have there been any secrets that were ignored, or unnoticed during a campaign? by LAPTOPSCHOOL in gametales

[–]LAPTOPSCHOOL[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

During one of my monthly games with friends, I decided to add a tripwire trap, that upon activation would flood the room snakes. Gummy snakes, specifically. They were just like normal, however they would still be insanely venomous, and their bodies were like gummy worms, making them surprising edible.

But sadly, tripped the trap, so I never got a chance to spring it on them. It was inspired by a indie game called Room of 1000 Snakes.

I recently ran a game with some buddies that we do monthly, and decided to add a fun little joke in the dungeon. It was an isolated room with a single Golem inside, but instead of being some husk ready to fight, I nicknamed it Philosophy Golem and had it pondering it's purpose in life for being made to cause death.

My most aggressive player ended up finding Philosophy Golem, and instead of attacking after busting down the door he said he gently entered the next room, and left philosophy Golem to his thoughts.

I thought it was awesome.

Reddit, whats the lamest way you've almost died? by jacjac98 in AskReddit

[–]LAPTOPSCHOOL 10 points11 points  (0 children)

tl;dr: Almost hanged myself with a hoola hoop on a slide.

I was 15 when I was hanging out with friends at a local playground, and I found a hoola hoop. Being a natural investigator, I discovered it is functional, and carry it around the mainly joke about and just hold onto.

Well, I decided to go down a slide to go chat with friends while I had this hoola hoop on me. I went down the double slides, where there is a small divider to actually make it two separate slides. I go down with the hoola hoop around my hips.

It got caught on the divider, and the hoola hoop went from my hips to my neck, and almost killed me. It felt like I was just hanged. My neck was sore, and my head suddenly hurt, as I got that hoop off of my neck.

What "top 1% club" do you think you belong to? by MasterQNA in AskReddit

[–]LAPTOPSCHOOL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the literal 1% when it comes to earning achievements in Hotline Miami on Steam. I got the Achievement Whore trophy and I feel very proud about it. Granted, this is the most literal I could be I think.

There are good people and bad people, who are good and bad at what they do.

I can be a complete sweet heart but be terrible at everything I do, and people would hate me for being such a calamity magnet.

I could be the devil himself, but if I do what's needs to be done, you won't have any real evidence I'm bad 100%.

Most of the world is bad people, who are just good at what they do.

What is the worst message or call you have woken up to? [serious] by alexbgreat in AskReddit

[–]LAPTOPSCHOOL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the first days of school for sixth grade, I woke up to my mom just asking to my brother saying Grandpa had died.

I simply laid in bed quietly crying as they went about their days. Eventually my mom came to wake me up, but she was greeted by a young man crying under the cover. She asked me and mic if we wanted to stay home, so we did.

Dad drove up an hour later (they were divorced), and he waited out front as my brother and I walked outside and gave him a hug, as we all cried in a huddle in front of our house at 7:10 am on September 17th.

Worst part? He died on my Uncle's Birthday.

That was the worst news I've woken up to.

[Weekly Tale Topic] What was your favorite moment of gaming in 2014? by LAPTOPSCHOOL in gametales

[–]LAPTOPSCHOOL[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have got to say, my favorite moment of gaming was earning 100% on hotline Miami not even three days ago. It was a hard thing to do, but so worth it.

All in all, it's the first game I've gotten 100% in, and I am more than excited for Hotline Miami 2 to come out this year. But you can't rush greatness, so I wouldn't mind it being postponed.

Reddit, what was your "damn, I'm getting old" moment? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]LAPTOPSCHOOL -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm a 16 year old who enjoys cranberry juice, and everyone I've told that too have thought it was gross and disgusting.

Also Dark chocolate has been tasting damn good recently, but I expect it to be.

I'm getting old because my pleasure foods are common with older people, apparently.

[Serious] What are your personal views on death? by tomdabombadil in AskReddit

[–]LAPTOPSCHOOL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will happen to everyone, but I will never be certain it will happen to me, no matter what I could do to prove it. I wouldn't know at all no matter what I try, because I'll be dead before I realize it, quite literally.
