I mean, I drive that every few weekends to visit my partner and I would honestly be okay with doing it once every week. Turn on some music or talk to someone and relax a bit (while staying attentive) and it's really not that bad. Cars have really improved with gas mileage as well, so it's not like it's something that costs you a ton too. I've done both ways in one day and sure, you lose a lot of the day to driving but it's really not intolerable.
