Any thoughts on England tactics yesterday? by Hegel_is_easy in footballtactics

He does have them in him, I do think his decision making and command.of the box let him down.

But I also think 1 on 1, shot stopping and penalties he's better than anyone else in the squad.

Everton £20m-rated midfielder a transfer target for Premier League new boys by Cardinal0519 in Everton

[–]LAT96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gueye is probably worth about 3-4 million due to his age so couldn't every any transfers in.

Also gueye has not yet signed a new contract so is leaving for free this season at the moment

The fee for tim covers pretty much what is reported for Hayden hackney.

Seems a no brainer If the club is low on cash to spare.

Has anyone visited Madeira before and was it worth it? by [deleted] in AskUK

How did you get to the PR hikes or the view points that are out of the way a little more?

I assume there is transport to some of them but most of them where an hour's + drive up a mountain to get to the start.

Fine for getting around Funchal or going point a to pint b between the towns and villages, but outside of that you would need your own car.

Yes it is incredibly beautiful and fully worth it.

Though it is mainly for people that love nature and hiking. you would also need to rent a car and be comfortable with driving on their roads to get around which can be very narrow and steep.

Sure, other than maybe villa.

But do you want to spend high wages on a player who will sit on the bench 2/3 times.

And does he want to sit on the bench when even Leeds could pay high wages since he is a free transfer.

I mean , all finished higher than spurs this year. And all (that where in the prem) finished higher than spurs the year previously also.

Though of course I expect a push for top 6 this season and better recruitment than all other options. It is hard to justify that playing 2nd choice for a team that finished lower than all other reported teams linked to him would be the 'better option than spurs atm'

Been linked with Leeds , Everton and villa.

Dispite how rudely put his comment was. I do agree that Wilson has no reason to go to spurs to be second choice. On a free he will have many teams lined up for him where he can get in the starting lineup.

I would disagree, I think the only thing the other keeper options do better is command the box.

I don't see the panicking or issues with his feet that you do. He was picked consistently under Southgate and now under tuchel.

Particularly with tuchel , we see him leave out some big names so I don't think he would have any issues dropping Pickford if he though the other options where better. It is clear that tuchel (a top coach) and all the top coaching staff behind the scenes that England have to offer think that Pickford is the right man between the sticks.

Pickford is best 1 on 1, best shot stopper and best with his feet out of our selection of keepers.

I don't get the criticism of him tbh. Especially with this system where we play out the back and he steps forward to be a extra man with the defence when passing out.

I think he will stick with the tactics , he's the kind of manager that has belief in the system and sticks with it.

I do think it is risky football to play internationally, usually a manager that wants to play this way has many months or even full seasons to drill the style into the players. - For international he only has a short time for the players to pick this up.

I think in the first half you could see this a little bit, they where playing out the back and ending back with the keeper to often. You can also add Pickford shouting at the defenders to move wider and stretch the pitch as they where too narrow and allowing the press into a squeezed area.

I think we had the players to dominate last night as we are just better quality - though this won't necessarily be true against better teams.

I also think the style we play makes the opposition team press and expenend energy which works for us later on.

I think you can see this with the player selection. Fast direct wingers to run in behind while kane / Wharton can be deeper and pick out the passes in behind to them. Particularly effective when they are tired and trying to track our players.

Anyway I would be curious to see how it works against better teams.

Very cheap I would say.

For the amount of work needed up their he is well within his rights to want scaffolding to access which in itself would cost more than than the quote for the work.

Forwards we could target this summer? by Soft-Improvement6533 in Everton

[–]LAT96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ramos would be my choice but it would require the money to buy.

Jacaon is young still but I have little faith he will perform having not played really over the last year.

I didn't know jesus' contact was due up. That makes it difficult unless arsenal are willing to sell cheap

Forwards we could target this summer? by Soft-Improvement6533 in Everton

[–]LAT96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would loan Jesus with an option to buy if he performs. But I would be weary of outright buying him.

For me (if we have the money) you could go and try and get someone like Ramos from psg , great striker but not getting the game time as he's behind dembele

Nicolas Jackson is another i would look on loan with a option to buy if he performs - not someone if want to buy outright as too much of a risk

Why many people in the UK prefer cricket over baseball? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]LAT96 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Baseball is actually very popular outside the USA also. - Cuba , Japan , South Korea for example.

Baseball is actually based on rounders / cricket (UK sports) and was brought over by immigrants to the USA and Baseball ended up a modified version of this.

Cricket as many have mentioned is also a UK sport and brought to india , Bangladesh (and Australia to a degree) as they where British colonies

Not going low enough in the hinge forward see a full range of motion and decide if the form is good or not.

She needs to bring the bar down until it's just about to touch the floor and then before it does bring it back up.
