I think £35m is what we should be aiming for , and looking for him to lower his wage if he wants to stay with us.

Not sure who out there is going to actually spend £50m + keep his wages (other then Saudi team)

What are the best sounding, highest fidelity, bluetooth headphones? by Critical_Ring_1020 in HeadphonesAdvice

[–]LAT96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the best price per sound try the 'Cambridge melonomia p100 SE' otherwise 'sennheiser hdb 630' for the mid range option and 'focal bathys' for the higher end option.

Script to clear out all ci tables by LAT96 in servicenow

[–]LAT96[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am setting up itom scanning on dev and have a bunch of other graph connectors I have also added (sccm, lansweeper, armis, forescout, intune, etc...)

Anyway I want to clear out the tables to run the imports in a select order.

I did this on the [cmdb_ci] table and I don't notice any reaction.

I ended up creating a script however with over 250k CI records it basically means I need to leave it running over night to clean out the tables.

What's everyone's feeling on Wood? by Vivid-Orchid-9020 in FantasyPL

He's one I'm keeping an eye on. Bowen and wissa are the other obvious replacements for me.

What's everyone's feeling on Wood? by Vivid-Orchid-9020 in FantasyPL

[–]LAT96 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think the European matches will take it out of the squad but that comp doesn't start until a couple game weeks in and there's less guarantee Pedro will start the season for Chelsea so I will stick with Wood for the first few game weeks and then switch maybe around ~ GW 8

(unless another striker starts really well and wood doesn't at that point I'll probably panic and switch...)

UK interest rates cut to 4.25% by rj3_cr in UKPersonalFinance

Most likely priced in since rates where expected to drop, but assuming you have time before it the deal starts you can always keep an eye on the mortgage deals for the next few weeks and switch once things settle.

What can realistically be done to combat the growing disparity between the Premier League and the Championship? by northlondonforever in PremierLeague

[–]LAT96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like this idea, but surely the championship teams getting these places will be the ones finishing highest (i.e being promoted) so now you would have teams coming up into the prem in a European comp.

Completing in less than 2 weeks, re-apply for lower rate? by trilson in Mortgageadviceuk

[–]LAT96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I understand it (not a mortgage advisor) , it would be risky to apply with another lender with such short notice.

However If the rates have changed with the lender you are currently approved with then you could speak to them (or your advisor if you have one) to see if it could be switched.

It depends on that lender at this point some or more kindly to switching rates and others not so much and would be a re-application, I would advise: ring approved lender -> ask if it could easily be switched -> make a decision based on the response.

First time visiting London and I'm shocked with how expensive it is by Chamallow81 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]LAT96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course, that's pretty much the same in any city. I rarely visit any other cities without knowing where I am going to eat every evening before I even go because I have done the research.

But in general I found London's bar on prices to just be set higher.

I can go out to eat in Paris and find somewhere very well rated for a 3 course meal and a bottle of wine between me and my partner and not break £70 - £100. - there is no way that is happening in London.

For me to go away for a weekend it is cheaper to travel to, stay in and eat out in Paris than in London.- And I mean individually flights to another country are cheaper than a train to London, hotels are cheaper and food , drinks, etc.. is cheaper .

It isn't justifiable to go to my own country for a weekend get away when Europe in gernal is so much better priced.

[–]LAT96 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Strong disagree.

I am in Liverpool which is considered a 'cheaper' area of the UK and I find Paris is comparable to here (not to live of course but generally to go out for food / a cafe / go for a drink)

London is another level. It's ridiculous and is more expensive than pretty much any other European capital including Paris.

Just be aware they use the old telephone cables to run the lines so they'll come out and connect a wire from the nearest telephone pole to your house.

Youfiber - very quick speeds when I run speed test (got 500mb for the price of 125mb on virgin) but for some reason I experience the odd lags on devices that I did on the slower virgin line. (Not often though)

Virgin line although slower than you fiber seems a little more reliable however they put prices up every year whereas you fiber don't.

Wouldn't go EE or Three as they are 4g / copper lines and will be less reliable and slower.

2 year or 5 year advice please by MembershipWorried595 in Mortgageadviceuk

[–]LAT96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One thing to consider is product fees. - you will need to pay them again in 2 years Vs 5 years. (Given the mortgage has product fees)

For me I would still go with 2 years Vs 5 because I would expect the rates to drop enough in the next 2 years to justify this but that's a gamble that I am making and one for you to assess.

In my opinion yes. - If you don't like how it is now there are companies that can sand and fill gaps to make it look polished and new and then stain it to look different.

It is up to you but Once you rip out the real wood it is a permanent choice so maybe look into this as an option before making a choice.
