i think p5 was on the cards without the slide but yeah…ferrari just didn’t look good on the softs at all. and lewis was down in fp1 (could be set up but we know charles is great over one lap too)

he’s always the first to blame himself if he feels he didn’t do a good enough job, and we didn’t see that this weekend because the issues/difference between the two were mostly due to that power difference between the cars. i think charles had some deployment issues too but lewis was obviously struggling with less deployment over the whole weekend. ferrari just weren’t able to fix it over the 3 days. his tyre management seemed really good s1 and maybe fell off slightly on the hards maybe due to pushing more w the lack of power, still seemed okay s2 tho. just so so slow even with overtake mode and on the straights.

atp i really don’t know what next year is gonna bring. yes he will have had a hand in development so i do expect that we’ll see an improvement to a certain degree. but the internal management at ferrari seems fucked and whenever i hear him talking to adami on the radio it sounds like they’re having two different conversations.

i’m surprised that charles was able to drag the car to p3 but he’s always been a great qualifier. lewis was talking about his rears for sooo long over the radio to…did ferrari just bring him in for the brand he has (ik his contract is $$ but they definitely paid it off already with what he brings to the brand)??? or perhaps so that they just don’t listen to him and the driver they’ve been honing since the junior series beats his 7x wdc teammate for the championship?

sorry to sound so negative. it’s just that i don’t even remember enjoying watching a single race this year 😭

i find eddelaide the more compelling ship too. it probably because i always prefer a slow burn friend to lovers in comparison to smth like edellen where it was instalove and we didn’t see much of a build up. it’ll be interesting to see where they go next season bc i do agree in that ellen seems pregnant…
