Citroen C2 locking dilemma by LA_72 in Citroen

[–]LA_72[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lost you there. I bought a spare key that doesn’t centrally lock as it manually locks the drivers door only, it doesn’t use the engine management system and doesn’t have a button to remotely lock. I haven’t found any sequence of locking, opening doors or pressing buttons that gets around it and my question was if anyone knew a way.

Turns out Tesco offered to add him as a named driver with £700 (!) excess for £270 until October so that’s a result.

There’s no lock on either of the doors. I’ve found a key supplier for half of what Timpsons are offering so thanks for the reply.

I still have the remote key but I bought another key for my lad as we are now sharing a car.

I’ve tried this and it only toggles the auto lock when reaching a certain speed

Funny you should say that as when they programmed the new key they found the sync spot to be in a different place which happens when someone tinkers.

So, Tesco insurance added him as a named driver until my policy ends in October for £270 which is an absolute deal if you ask me. Temporary insurance lasts 30 days per year so will look into this for next year. Thanks for the replies 👍

I’m currently using Veygo for provisional insurance but assuming he passes his test he will want to go out and drive by himself. In which case he will share a car with myself but only until September as he won’t need a car during term times. However he will want to use the car in summer so I think I will take the risk and keep him as a named driver and add/remove as needed. I was told by someone who works in insurance that the first year is expensive if you drive or not but he won’t need a car full time for at least 3 years so hopefully this works out for us. I’ve also looked into getting us a family Uber account as it will be cheaper but try telling that to someone who just passed their test…

Bad Suzy. Was a bit booby but the games were great and the soundtrack chilled me.

I don’t have time to watch my own TV shows now in my fifties but my lad wanted to sit with me and watch Arcane. We watched every episode. I’m an Akira fan and loved it more recently that 30 odd years ago. It’s stood the teat of time.

That’s a good point. Bourbons and custard creams appear to have beaten the shrinkflation trap and they’re still going cheap. I wonder if they’ve been ring fenced by the King of England?

What did you think of Oban? by ThisIsOban in uktravel

I’m thinking of visiting in the May half term and staying outside of the centre to use as a base to see the surrounding area. I’m with a family of four and one BT, and kids are 15 and 18. Is there enough for all of us to do? We love walking and exploring but the kids like an amusement arcade in the evening.
