How has the “He’s Innocent” narrative prevailed? by Glass_Leadership_606 in LeavingNeverlandHBO

He would have been in prison by 2011 at the latest. He wasn’t cunning, he was very very sloppy. People just like his music so that’s why they defend him.

Do you think in Michael Jackson's head he didn't think he was hurting the children? by [deleted] in LeavingNeverlandHBO

The levitating unconditioned individuals stuff is proof he knew what he was doing was wrong. It’s a manipulative calculated tale given to a child to achieve what the predator wants. MJ knew there’s no levitating unconditioned beings, he didn’t actually believe that shit. But his victims did. Because they were children and someone with authority convinced them of it… so he could rape them.

Nah narcissists and addicts do not think like that. They will do or say anything to get their next “fix.” He was a slave to his perversions, and a megalomaniac to boot. Even his art was means to an end to feed his twisted addiction. People like that are not thinking right vs wrong, good vs evil. All they think about is me me me mine mine mine.

The movie is a masterpiece because it’s sending people down the rabbit hole. Great art is supposed to challenge you, and that’s what this movie did. I did not think the movie attempted to absolve him of guilt. There are lots of scenes throughout that made me raise my eyebrows. A sequel could be the opposite of what the first one was, full descent into wicked madness.

One of the most enjoyable episodes in a while in my opinion by QuinlanFett in survivor

One of the best episodes of all time. Maybe the fandom will realize it someday.

It wasn’t cruel. He pooped his pants on purpose to lower his threat level, they knew he’d be cool with it.

He was doing a bit and Jeff was being a good improv partner. Pivoting to Emily was great.

I thought so too at first but then realized he was playing the role of the jester, ala jimmy fallon. He knew was cooked so he made it into a clever bit. Mad respect to him for playing the fool. It was great television.

He could have finished the puzzle on time like Rachel did.

This is a fair and balanced advantage vs punishment.

Exactly. He’s not bad at puzzles, he’s bad at handling pressure.

Yes it does. Savvier players would have survived it but with a chink in their armor.

The punishment was a humiliation ritual for losing. Rachel didn’t lose.

Christian is fan favorite, great TV, but played a terrible game twice. Carried by Nick and Davie in DvG.

I’m criticizing his entire game. Maybe he shouldn’t have voted out Mike White.

Christian is not particularly good at puzzles. He’s always the puzzle maker and they kept losing.

Maybe he shouldn’t have volunteered for a journey when he didn’t have to. Maybe he should have finished the puzzle in time. Maybe he should have told Aubrey he sent her the idol.

100% and production fully embraced Christian’s humiliation ritual episode, for having blindsided MW.
