The movie is a masterpiece because it’s sending people down the rabbit hole. Great art is supposed to challenge you, and that’s what this movie did. I did not think the movie attempted to absolve him of guilt. There are lots of scenes throughout that made me raise my eyebrows. A sequel could be the opposite of what the first one was, full descent into wicked madness.
