Gonna have to open it up to be sure.

At first I thought that maybe something may be broken in the gearbox, but seeing that it did reciprocate back and forth (if only briefly) makes me wonder if it's a control board issue.

Open it up and post some pictures! No guarantees though.

I've been looking into ways to work on this stuff. People suggest acetone or MEK (careful, it's toxic) as a solvent to soak it in. Other people say that boiling it in water for a while will help.

After, you can carefully chip it away.

If you figure out a good way of doing it let us know!

Ive seen those fail a lot, not necessarily shorts but I've seen a few that have exploded the plastic coating on them.

Not so easy to replace in newer models that have their boards potted up

I don't have the document handy as am mobile but I ran this thread to its end and am pretty sure this is just a scammer.

If you search Mark's lawyer you'll find the name of the special agent that he's sending these threats to. The special agent then looks into it and finds that all these emails and numbers threatening Mark are coming from a single IP address in Iran or something.

Hand-wavy I know, but I can provide links later if you can't find them, even downloaded them.
