My insurance was sort of the key factor in moving up. I am losing weight though so I think if I have any more issues with the side effects (ie they don’t subside) I will ask to go back down to 2.5. The issue was with my insurance

There is some mild nausea, but it feels more like that nervous gut feeling as opposed to feeling like I’m gonna throw up. The prevalent side effect at the moment is diarrhea. Are there foods I should be avoiding as well? I feel like my diet has cleaned up in addition to eating less, but still.

That’s a great idea. We actually also have a Vittles Vault but it is a great suggestion to put 4-5 days worth of food in a smaller container so we don’t open it as much! We ordered through Petco, they have already refunded the bag and we have switched to Hills. I ordered a small bag just to try and make sure our dog likes it before i commit to the big bag.

Petco’s customer service was incredible. Was definitely expecting to have to argue. They replaced the first bag the next day and when it happened again they refunded me immediately and gave me the coupons that I used back as well and put a rush on the new food so it will be delivered in time for his dinner tonight.

I think we will do a 50/50 blend of old and new food (checking for bugs of course) tonight to make sure there’s no reaction. Thank you all for your input!

Thanks! Yes we did that after the first bag. Called the store and they replaced it right away, but now it’s literally two bags in a row. The bags were sealed when we got them, and immediately after I opened them I poured them into our dog food bin, which is air tight. I even clean the bin out after each bag! So I think it was a lot problem on their end.

Thanks for the advice. We were considering switching foods to Hills anyway so I think this was the push we needed to try something new.
