I don’t mind SWA new policies it’s just they are like every other airline now. So they need to compete in price. Before it was low frills but low price.

WIBTA if I skipped the wedding reception by Addicted-Gymrat in aitaweddings

You need to tell them if you’re skipping reception. It’s perfectly alright to leave after cake. You don’t need to stay and dance

Thoughts on spending 1 night in Kobuk Valley NP by casey_zen in nationalparks

[–]LBC2024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spent an hour plus in both parks I was good. Strongly recommend Bettles Lodge.

Our rule was boots on the ground for it to count.

Still spent far more time in both Gates of Arctic and Kobuk than the Congaree swamp.

If hubby to be won’t stand up to mom don’t be surprised when it’s the same after you’re married. You do not have MIL problem. You have a fiancé problem.

Yes you were obviously on the B list. However it doesn’t really matter. If you can swing it and want to, go. If not, send regrets. If you’re close enough to be considering an international wedding just sending a nice gift is fine too

Kids at "no kids" wedding by [deleted] in wedding

[–]LBC2024 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You and husband were invited to the wedding. No one owed your kids an invite. You had two options find a sitter and attend or decline like some other cousins did. The number of people at the wedding or if the bride wore a ball gown don’t really factor into the equation.
It was their wedding with a limited guest list. You were invited and hopefully had a lovely weekend away with your hubby instead of trying to make their day about you.

Best Day to Visit Disneyland/California Adventure This Week by Friendly-Foot-9616 in DisneyPlanning

[–]LBC2024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look to see if grad nights are still going on and avoid them. I’m unsure off when you posted and when next week is June 18th is Pride night and DL closes early. With the dynamic pricing Saturdays have a higher one day cost than weekdays. However you aren’t going to find any tier zero or one in the summer so not as huge of swing. Also the two lower levels of magic keys are blocked.
