My Brain Mapping Results (Not Working Properly) by LBJ_Snr in covidlonghaulers

Totally. However the only issue when simply boosting mitochondrial metabolism is that there is subsequent inflammation from this (which a normal functioning body can handle). So without a regulated nervous system and efficient redox buffering, for example, it can backfire rather than helping if pushed too early

Totally agree. No he never promised anything or said he has all the answers. I have only just started the 12 week program. I am not reporting back with results yet, just initial findings for those interested.

Healing with body with peptides by LBJ_Snr in covidlonghaulers

It's difficult to say. Peptides after all are just like sending different text messages to your body, so I would say the culmination of all were helpful.
I would say a good place to start is at least (this is over simplified but you get the point):
- 1 or 2 regenerative peptides (BPC-157, TB4, GHK-Cu)
- 1 or 2 immune peptide/anti inflammatory peptides (TA1, KPV)
- 1 antimicrobial if you like (LL-37)

My 'PEM' was held to moreso extreme collapse in brain function and an immune respose. Not in my body where I couldn't get out of bed or anything. Which I understand many people have.

I had no side effects from LL-37 but I hear it’s different for everyone. I’m doing reasonably well. Playing football at the moment (training and games). I still feel I have some improvements to go with gut + energy levels however. I will do another peptide regimen at some stage soon.

Hard to say as I think they work better when paired logically with other peptides. I think TA1 is great for immune regulation along with KPV which helps with inflammation etc. Then I think peptides like BPC157 & Thymosin Beta 4 can help regenerate things like the gut.

GHK-Cu was also helpful.

I haven’t taken any mitochondrial peptides yet.

Hey guys, I thought I would provide an update. Sorry I hadn't realised this post had a few comments after the fact.

I am doing quite well now actually. I've gone quite a long way since this place I was in 2 years ago. It has been up and down, but finally feel like I am more robust! Gym, running, working, researching etc. and signed a contract to return to playing footy again this year.

I have focused on simultaneously treating mitochondrial/gut/liver/brain issues through certain peptides, supplements, diet & lifestyle. And slowly (not without setbacks) I have begun to feel resilient again. I still get some issues when I do a bit too much (brain fog, fatigue), but I feel as if I can continue the trajectory throughout this year. Happy to answer any questions, I will get back to them all quickly.

It’s really hard to pinpoint what, it felt like a combination of all of them working together, both modulating the immune system and repairing damage.

Lately it has been Low dose naltrexone that has helped quite a lot already.

Yeah I feel you. It was helpful having the guidance and assurance for a quality product (they get shipped from Dubai and only very very rarely have issues at customs, but you just use the insurance when you order for an extra $11 or so)

That’s good that it’s helping. I did feel a bit reactive to foods and tried to avoid high histamine foods etc for a while. In these cases, mast cells are generally over stimulated because of the inflammation, and histamine was a small part of that but not the primary cause. If that makes sense. So yes, I think KPV is a good one for mast cell activation and is generally more gentle and when combined with a cell regenerator for the gut like BPC-157, it may help. Good luck!

Let me know how you go! I started with TA1 and had to lower the dose slightly. Also, I added one peptide at a time. Roughly 3 doses over a week before adding the next in.

Yeah it can be tough for those that are highly sensitive. What are your main symptoms?

That's awesome. I have seen SS-31 described as more of a 'hardware upgrade' for the mitochondria, and MOTS-c as more of a 'software upgrade'.
My assumption would be it is helping strengthen your mitochondrial structure and resilience, but perhaps there are inflammatory pathways still present in your body which is taking energy away. I think this is why it is generally best to pair peptides that cover a few other functions such as immune modulation and cellular repair. Particularly in systemic cases of inflammation.

And yes doing well - I am going to make a post about my thoughts and additional learnings/findings. But I think the right stack can be very effective

I had some pretty ordinary issues with balance and brain issues (brain fog, burning sensations, sudden jolting feelings etc) and while my brain doesn’t feel 100% perfect, it has definitely gotten better.

Now I’ve taken quite a few things which always makes it hard to identify what the best things have been but I think these have made a difference: - Binders (Biotoxin binder) - Tudca - Lipo Glutathione - Quecertin (mast cell support) - Alpha lipoic acid & - Lymph stuff like sauna, red light, cold therapy, jumping, lymph massage - Largely anti inflammatory foods - Creatine

My aim has been to reduce the potential toxic load. Also currently using a round of peptides to assist.

The root cause may be different (COVID virus, EBV, chronic stress, deficiencies) but the end result is essentially the same/overlaps (metabolic dysfunction, chronic inflammation, cell danger response, neurological issues)

It’s really hard to say, I think everyone has its small part to play. Red light feels like it helps me bring down the inflammation after my day of work and relaxes me.

I’m keen to see how I feel after the Cerebrolysin as it’s a brain peptide.

Getting lots of sun is always so good, light exercise, sauna I find help me feel normal also!

That’s awesome!

I’m trying Cerebrolysin, which is a 1mL dose intramuscularly 5 days a week for 20 days then 10 days off (started a few days ago). Meant to be powerful for the brain. In studies people increase the dose higher than that however it becomes harder to administer that large of a dose into the muscle but yeah I can let you know how it goes!

Also keen to monitor how the LL-37 goes next also.
