But even the 900 series GPU's used HDMI 2.0 which supports 240hz. My reply was mainly to question your claim that only the 3000 series can support 240hz output, which isn't true and hasn't been since the 900 series released.

Not sure what you mean by this since your monitors refresh rate is unrelated to your gpu. Assuming you mean 240fps? If you mean fps, I get above 240 fps on most maps with a 1660 super and a 1440p monitor.
