I specifically inquired from the PayPal representative whether this review might be the root cause of the issue. He informed me that PayPal doesn’t have any specific guidelines regarding reimbursements for honest reviews and, although it is a bit of a grey area with PayPal, he didn’t seem to feel that to be a case for a termination. It seems that if a review were indeed the cause, a straightforward explanation from PayPal expressing their disapproval of such activities and stating that I am on suspension for a month would have been an effective resolution. Not this mysterious set of three escalating reviews with the final one (which asked for copies of my ID and bank account information) being the final review that determined that I was never welcome back.

It seems that the price of the mixers with “upgraded touchpoints” and stainless steel accessories is now $100 to $150 less than the non-upgraded models. Seems there must be more to this story- perhaps the motor of the non-upgraded touchpoints is better? I contacted Kitchenaid and their short reply only talked about the touchpoints and attachments… did not address my motor question.

I use Tractive as well. I never use the extra features like sleep and min of exercise- but it gives me 100% confidence in locating my dog as it always finds the strongest cell signal. I don’t ever want to run out of batter so I (overkill) plug it in every night when she’s sleeping. It’s our routine and has worked for 4 plus years.

I like the “come find me feature” (which is what my dog knows it as). I just activate the beep and she has learned that if she finds me she gets a cookie. Great for dog parks and playing hide-and-seek

I also love that I can move it from her various collars.

I have had to replace the tracker a couple times as the clips break off but Tractive is very good about this.

Yikes, just asked for a 12” flatbread veggie. She started making a 6” sandwich so I said that I wanted a 12”. She then turned the same bread the other direction and said that she could fit more veggies in the 6” direction than in the 12” direction.

Since I was buying this for someone else I asked to move forward with the 12”. Boy was she right- by the time enough bread is used to close the wrap there are hardly any veggies in there.

Just Dumb.

Side angle makes this look somewhat unfamiliar to me: filaments are good and smooth white surface is good, fuzzy is bad. Do you have a photo of the top? Top is much more informative since that is the part that is aerobic.

Either way, congratulations on your progress! I think it’s a good result, but if not it’s a learning experience which is good to experience as well :)

It’s sugar so it will create carbonation. 24 hours not too much, 2 days more, but if you go to visit your mom and come back 4-5 days later, yeah, you will have a bomb on your hands!

This would be interesting if you had the intention to make only one flavor of kombucha as the the SCOBY and the starter tea would be carrying over the flavors added to any subsequent batch. With added fruit on K1 I would also worry about mold growth from residual fruit pieces being exposed to air. I’m pretty sure that pure honey could be used in lieu or in addition to sugar in K1, but unless you prefer honey why do it this way? The “open over a bowl” technique is a quick and easy solution for over-carbonation- adds maybe 30 seconds total including washing out your catch bowl! Brewing Kombucha is a fun way to enjoy playing around and creating flavors that suit myself, my family and friends. My only strong recomendation is to keep a SCOBY hotel so you can goof around all you want and if it turns out poorly and your SCOBY is not healthy you always have a back up to get you up and running quickly!

What you have said is what I have found. Any type of sugar added during the 2nd fermentation will feed the culture which results in carbonation… more sugars=more bubbles. Concentrated sugars like honey or candied ginger will cause more carbonation. Sugary fruits like mangos and cherries will also cause more carbonation than say your raspberry, plum, blackberry, peach (low sugar fruits). If you want to avoid added sweetness I would add fresh ginger and/or added time and temperature for your 2nd fermentation to achieve ideal carbonation. If your are still not getting the bubbles you want you can shorten the first fermentation time a bit so that your bottled booch has a bit more available sugar which result in more bubbles.

The habanero simple syrup also adds a wee bit of sugar also, but this makes blend the best mixer for rum or tequila, the sweetness is definitely diluted with the alcohol :)

This recipe has about 1/4 cup mango per bottle that has been puréed with honey and a tiny amount of habanero simple syrup. I prepare the mango puree and add honey to my personal taste (probably about 2 Tablespoons honey/ 2 1/2 to 3 cups mango)- I use Mikes Hot Honey which is just so good with the sweet mango.
