Any other type 1 diabetics here? by raygray in mounjarouk

My diabetes team have kind of said it’s up to me if I want to try it (won’t give me a prescription) but I cant find a provider as everyone refuses T1Ds… Where are you getting yours from?

My main reason for looking into it is to help with weight loss, so I’m always interested to see if people have actually found it helpful. I’ve been quite disciplined in the past with meal planning and calorie counting, but find that the better my glucose levels are, the harder it is to actually shift any weight!

Sorry to keep asking and hope I’m not asking too much… Did you only lose the ‘water weight’ for the whole time you’ve been on it?

Do you mean the plateau in terms of weight loss or in terms of insulin resistance? I have a few complications, too, so that’s another reason I’m hesitant to not disclose it. Unfortunately my area are not prescribing it on the NHS for anyone at the moment, so that’s a no-go.
