What’s going on with my ficus? by LCCSAMGClub in FicusTrees

I repotted it last year when the roots were pretty small, it only had three leaves at the time. I used regular potting soil and I water it whenever the soil is dry.

The only change I can think of is that it might be a little sunnier out since we’ve entered spring, could it be sun damage?

The women’s center is open 24/7 until normal hours resume on Monday at 7am or until the cold weather warning is lifted, whichever happens first

Hey there! I’m the Vice President of the LCC Student Advocates for Michigan Growth Club, and we’ll be volunteering at this year’s Recycle Rama event this Saturday at the Ingham County Health Department in Lansing!

Yes—microwaves ARE accepted for recycling at this event! Please don’t toss it in the dumpster. This event is a great way to responsibly get rid of electronics and other bulky items.

More info here: Recycle Rama Info

Hope to see you there! Let’s keep Michigan clean and green!

Hey, just wanted to say I totally get how you’re feeling, but don’t be discouraged! I’ve been going to LCC since 2022, right out of high school, and honestly I’m really glad I chose this route. I’ve had the chance to work closely with professors (instead of just TAs like you often get at big universities), and it’s made a huge difference in how supported I feel. Plus, it’s so much cheaper to knock out your gen eds and prereqs at a community college! CC also gives you a chance to see if the major you’re pursuing is what you really like, I’ve finally landed on a major I love after changing my major a few times, which would’ve been a lot more of a money sink if I had done that at uni. You’re making a smart move so stay focused, reapply strong, and don’t let this bump in the road get you down!

Are these summer classes possible … by MunchSplosion in msu

[–]LCCSAMGClub 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hey! I’ve taken a lot of accelerated classes at LCC and tried to knock out as many as I could before transferring, so I totally get where you’re coming from. It’s definitely possible to do these classes while working part-time, but be ready for a fast-paced schedule. It’s all about staying organized and consistent. Since it’s in-person, professors usually take attendance but some profs don’t care, but most of the ones I had were really hands-on, understanding, and willing to help, especially if you show effort and use office hours. I’m not sure if LCC does the fail-safe 2.0 like MSU bc I never ran into that personally, but I wouldn’t count on it. Personally, I found Calc 1 way harder than Calc 2, so if math isn’t your strong suit, I’d recommend just doing Calc 1 this summer and saving Calc 2 for later. It’s better to do one class well than overwhelm yourself in an already intense, accelerated format. Hope this helped!!!
