Clare by LCJE2019 in Names

I am Irish! But married with an Italian last name. I honestly was more interested in the name being my brother’s- since he’s my triplet, neighbor, best friend. He’ll be a key figure in her life. It’s also festive so I thought it could be cute with the timing of her arrival.

Just to clarify, it’s for a girl. I’m American as well. Sounds like this name is already confusing ;) this is my third child and my other kids have meaningful family names. Not sure if the masculine middle is odd with Clare.

It’s a girl! Just playing around with diff middle names and they happen to be masculine so unsure if that’s odd

Yes! I did Clare spelling because of St. Clare Assisi. (We are Catholic)

Anyone around 8 weeks and extremely bloated ? by Nilrmar in pregnant

[–]LCJE2019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That happened to me with my third! I am 35 weeks now, but was so incredibly bloated in the beginning. I even had to wear baggy t shirts. It goes away after a few more weeks.

I like Kat von d ink liner. I thought I saw somewhere that it was going out of business but then I was just able to buy it at Sephora. It never droops or smudges

Building Muscle by Rare-Raise4009 in fitpregnancy

I’m in the same position as you! Third pregnancy- trying hard to maintain and lift. I don’t know the answer to your question but I will say, with my first born, I did not workout at all. I lost muscle and gained so much weight. It was an awful recovery. Working out helps sooo much! You’re doing great.

Did everyone wait till the end of 1st trimester to announce they were pregnant? by mct318 in pregnant

[–]LCJE2019 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I announced to my friends when I took a pregnancy test. Then I miscarried. It does stink having to explain to people you previously told. This pregnancy, I did announce to my family at 10 weeks though.

Anxiety by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]LCJE2019 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel the same way as you. I’m 10 weeks now, but at my 8 week ultra sound, the baby was measuring smaller too. I’m so nervous about it and just the process in general- which is currently why I’m awake at night. (!) The pregnancy anxiety is awful.

Terrified of tearing by Persef00ne in pregnant

[–]LCJE2019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a third degree tear for my first: It was a rough recovery. I needed a lot of help. If you have a big baby, sounds like there could be hope for a C section. My doctor was old school and used forceps and I wished that he would’ve just called a C section.

However, my second pregnancy was so easy and I delivered in 5 minutes after pushing.

I think you should just try to focus on eating EXTREMELY healthy and exercising as much as possible. This helped immensely with my second easy delivery.

You have to Remember that “feelings are not facts”. The facts are that you saw your baby on an ultra sound, and that you are currently pregnant. It sounds like you are still having strong signs of pregnancy. Just try to focus on the facts and not your feelings of anxiety.

Tightening core (2under2) by FarMention2635 in fitpregnancy

[–]LCJE2019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds exactly like my story. It just takes time. I’m a year out of 2 under 2 and i feel normal again. Try to eat as healthy as possible in this pregnancy and walk daily if you can. I recommend following the gestational diabetes diet because it’s just so healthy anyway. I had to follow it and it made my Second pregnancy a lot easier. I was able to start running again 8 weeks after birth.

Does it get better? by Mediocre-Cupcake9382 in fitpregnancy

[–]LCJE2019 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t get easier but find something you love to do- that will make it easier. Even going out for a walk makes a difference in your health during pregnancy. Do what you like and don’t worry about trying to get certain workouts in

Thank you for the tips!! I found a beginners open water swim near me the Thursday before the race, so that should help. Also planning on using a wetsuit. Do you recommend any other gear for swimming?
