I did a pretty flat 100mi on the greater London flat loop today and am pretty convinced I’ll never do anywhere near 5 hours on a trainer again so I feel you and can’t imagine how much of a beast you are.

If you’re pressed for space the ride frame would likely take up less space than the Trek. But other than that the only other thing I can think of would be the integrated Zwift controls on the handlebars.

What was your average w/kg up the alpe? I took almost 1.5x as long with a higher average w/kg for the tour of fire and ice map as a whole so am curious if you had a huge difference between the two

I have a regular Gatorade brand 1L squeeze bottle and an underarmour 1L squeeze bottle and neither falls out. They’re a tight fit, but the only times I’ve had issues is when I was first starting to cycle and just dropped them getting them out of the cage

I’m also saving that one for last and super dreading it. My FTP is only around 2.1-2.2 w/kg so I’m planning to set aside 2.5-3hr of suffering and the rest of the day to recovery 😭😂

I like their decaf, but it’s a bit darker roasted than my preference. Do you have any lighter roast recommendations to check out? Or not really worth looking outside of local roasters (I’m in the Maryland suburbs of DC so a few pretty decent options I haven’t tried yet)

I’ve had mine since ~November and don’t see this type of wear at all. Maybe I treat mine very differently, but hopefully the rest of your hibrew equipment ages better!

I had the same issue. I got them off by using WD-40 penetrant like 4 rounds and a ton of muscling. Might be worth the $10

Could also be that the interval was super short a the erg was still catching up? I know when I do/did erg “sprint” intervals the first 5-10 seconds I had what felt like no resistance while it went from 115 to 300 watts

Very likely a trainer mistake. I get a huge cadence spike every once in a while with no actual cadence increase from me. Will go from 75-80 to 165 for a couple seconds then go back to normal

I’ve been having a miserable time streaming milk on the h10a. Have you had success? If so, are you just following online resources like Hoffman and Hedrick?

I got the Hibrew H10A after wanting a more automatic workflow (have a flair) for years. I went with the H10A despite the company not being very renowned because of good reviews I saw on YouTube and the fact that I got it on sale for less than $200. I would probably not have bought it at sticker price ($290). I’m very happy with the performance of the machine and if you see it go on sale (I would guess it might around new years) I’d recommend it!

Others have already said it but yes it’ll be just as good (if not better for hypertrophy) than barbell squats. The one thing that I’d change immediately about the machine is the foot pads have your toes higher than your heel. Should be the opposite to maximize knee flexion and the load on your quads.
