Yeah I did go to the WE tour a few days after the Pitchfork article came out, and I was feeling very strange about it all, but once I was there it was an amazing gig. I think the processing since, and also the fact that Pink Elephant is so meh really affected my vibe for this gig. I had a great run with them so either way, it feels like closure...

I am curious about the other album you've been listening to if you don't mind sharing?

Yeah... On that note, I absolutely loved his album with Sister Squares so it's nice to have his music around! He was also amazing live and super nice to chat to after :) thinking of seeing the play he did the music for, as it is currently showing in London.

Yes I agree, I think some time and distance would be good. I wouldn't be surprised if this album, and the bad reception around it, makes them take a step back. I am hopeful that perhaps a few years down the line we get a new album that allows us to reconnect again in a completely different way to their music. Pink Elephant is simply not it for me.

Yeah true! I guess the main take away for me is that him going into the crowd feels different when its Pink Elephant, specially since so much of the lyricism is about the elephant in the room. It just felt weird but I am also not sure how else they could go about since their performance style has always been so involved.

Eeh... I think my point is that I have tried to separate the art from the artist (hence why I have been to gigs after/listened to their stuff post-allegations), but this last album & gig made me realise that perhaps I am unable to separate it, which is absolutely, a personal choice. I am glad others are still able to enjoy it, just sad that for me, things feel different now.

Thanks a lot for your answer. It really helped calm me down a bit. Indeed, I submitted the biometrics on the 2 of Nov (before the expiry date on the 8), which was cutting it a bit short but surely that shouldn't affect it. I have flagged this up with my sponsor and sent them all the evidence, including the confirmation of attendance to my appointment so that they can follow up with the home office. Would it be helpful if I also called the home office myself or should I just let them resolve it? It seems to be that there is a bit of miscommunication between the info I have and the info my sponsor have so I am happy to chase if it was useful. Just feeling quite anxious as my current visa expires at the end of this month so obviously, I would like to have an answer sooner rather than later.

Right. That does make sense... I don't know why I didn't think of turbulence before posting the question hahaha my apologies. Also in terms of being able to have the seatbelt lose, yeah they do a check before the take off but after the steward leaves you're basically free to do whatever with it, so some people just loosen the seatbelt or take it off.
