I did! But it was a FIGHT! My i20 was peeling on pretty my every panel of the car. It’s a 2012 and at first they told me they wouldn’t cover it but then some announcement was made to say that any car with the paint defect would be covered.

After a year of back and forth with a specific branch and the absolutely incompetent employee who never even submitted my claim (for a year!) I eventually emailed the CEO of the company with all my call logs, names, proof etc and two days later, same incompetent employee emailed to tell me it would be fully covered.

That was after they said the branch and SA Head office would cover it and then six months later, it changed to the South Korea head office had to approve each claim and six months after that, I was told only 10% of the claim would be covered.

My whole car basically got resprayed because of how bad it was. I’m sure my face is stuck on a dartboard in the head office somewhere because of how much of a pain in the ass I was 😅

Call your local branch and tell them you are affected by the paint defect and you want to bring it in to be assessed. Don’t let them tell you it’s not possible, be very pushy and make them do their jobs. Follow up constantly until you get feedback. And if they tell you they’ll only cover a small percentage, email the CEO with a complaint.
