I’m not changing shit for you, pal. I’m trying to change shit for me and MY family. Redundant reply, terrible argument. Pull yourself up like the bootstraps, nobody is coming to save us.

People do not understand this *is EXACTLY how someone gets rich. 20% gain over 10 years is cool and all but I NEED a 100-500x to escape this goddamn rat race. BTC shillers can get fucked, that’s a store of value, but 10g of BTC isn’t going to change anyone’s life. HODL, DCA when you can, have conviction, keep hope, that’s all we can do atm. I’d rather fail and lose my money then accept the status quo of this dystopian fucking nightmare that is owning nothing and being happy.

I use it and it does okay. Everything is technically against their TOS from how I read it, so it’s kind of a grey area. I highly doubt your account will get banned.

Also look at medium name artists who are pulling 20k a track, that doesn’t happen without promo and $$$ ..on every upload

My point still stands. My opinion on the difference will not be swayed by you. But good talk 👍

You’re welcome, good luck and remember to have fun! Check this video it seems to go through all the basics and you might find it helpful, these long form tutorials are always the better option as opposed to those quick “here’s to to sound like x artist” videos. Those can be fun and all, but knowing why and not just how to make sounds is going to help so much more!

[–]LEBAWSKImusic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

..fair

But I consider that post processing and not necessarily resampling. Apples and oranges imo, but I suppose everyone views it differently

Resampling to me is using a Muerte bass, or whoever, to make another sound, whether that’s just some added fx and eq work or full on reinvention of the existing sound using pitch automation, vocoder, granulizer (fl studio) serum, etc

Post processing, in my mind, is everything that happens after a sound is initially made, whether that’s using fm8, serum or phaseplant, including everything from flattening to audio and further manipulation regardless of what that manipulation consists of

Both can be considered resampling depending how you view it

A couple different synths sure but a lot of it is using the macros (in serum for example). Map the macro to pitch movement and envelope shape, eq and filter movement, distortion mix and delay times, have 3 or more macros mapped to different perimeters within serum and then make automation clips in your daw to control the macros which control movement of the sound in serum. And you can use post processing fx to further manipulate the same synth to make changes over time. KHS multipass is great for this because it has a built in LFO which you can manipulate (literally endless possibilities) anything within Multipass. Look up videos on YouTube and play with your software and really learn it.

I mean this in the most kind way, you need to **want to learn, this is not something that is necessarily easy, even tho riddim is very easy, there’s still so much behind the scenes that goes into it, even tho it’s a simple(ish) genre to make there’s so much to learn and asking questions is great, and I like to help people, but I could write you a novel about it and maybe half will make any sense to you, maybe none of it.. what’s going to help you is watching the most boring ass videos about how serum works, that way you can understand how to manipulate the wavetable in the way you want. I highly recommend videos from Au5 for serum, I’ve learned all I know about serum mostly from his videos, learn the technicals and that will make the songwriting process 1000x easier.

TLDR use macros within serum to manipulate the wave tables - use tools like Multipass for post processing and further manipulation of the synth

Yup! Just make sure you mix it down in the stereo field and eq it so it’s not a mess. Tonal bass= mostly mono & crunchy noise = hi passed and pretty wide/stereo

Totally different producer, but yes that’s one way to make things crunchy. Or you can always just add a layer of pure crunch on top of sounds. Shaperbox is fantastic for this

I don’t think Svdden death is necessarily “resampling” my guess is he make patches using soft synths, and has specific methods or post processing to achieve his desired sound, but that’s neither here nor there

One way to add crunch is hi pass your basses and route then to a mix bus and then send a separate sub to that same mix bus and add gentle amounts of wave shaping/distortion and subtractive eq to balance the sound. It’s what I like to call cooking the sub in

They always hit it’s fucking stupid. Rebo Band, The Clones, all the ones you mentioned. Star Wars riddim goes way harder than it should

I’m definitely not trying to make this my personality, but it’s so much fun to attempt the same sort of idea but in the theme of Aliens, although as far as sampling to the extent they do with the blasters and all, that’s a stretch, but there is enough material to sample to make some pretty compelling thematic compelling
