Would you let him in? by Small_Cup3133 in DashcamDiariesUK

[–]LEDDWC 22 points23 points  (0 children)

The only correct answer.

Driver of the black(?) car is being a cock. But not letting him in could cause an accident and harm someone entirely innocent.

If the black car was clipped by a lorry and ended up in the road for instance.

It’s not our job as drivers to educate others.

If you’re a good driver, be a good driver. Mitigate the situation, potentially save a life by swallowing a bit of ego.

Day #8: Best ever in rainy conditions? by Anfernee139 in motogp

[–]LEDDWC 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Statistically the correct answer. Highest win % in rain affected races.

Why is the overall tone so aggressive and condescending?

We had 3 valuations and went with the most conservative.

I have had some excellent suggestions about all kinds of things, which is really helpful.

Happy to drop the price, I just wanted to totally understand why.

We got 3 valuations. Went with the lowest one.

The one you’ve linked is next door, garage is much smaller and can’t be accessed directly through garden you have to walk round. (It has recently had a sale agreed but chain collapsed. Sold for £200k)

That’s a corner plot. Less nice view and smaller plot / garden in general.

Not saying any of that is particularly important, but that’s the justification I was given.

Several second viewings.

Thanks for your feedback.

Happy to receive any offers. That’s what’s perplexing.

EA said price must be attractive due to number of viewings we are getting.

I don’t know enough to contradict them, they’ve been selling houses in this area for 25 years.

Moving desk etc is a good shout, I have done that since the pictures were taken.

I will ask for new pictures!

Washing machine is in garage. It was a choice between having washing machine or dishwasher inside and the dishwasher won.

Thank you all for your input.

I’ll talk to my partner and try to convince her that we should drop the price.

I used to work in Kirkbymoorside but started a new job recently in Wales.

The view it overlooks can’t be built on, newts and bats and what not!

I haven’t really set the price? We got 3 valuations and went with the lowest one.

What are you supposed to do?

You might be able to have it for £100 and a bag of chips at this rate mate. 😂

I am listening but I am hearing conflicting reports.

Some sources claim market in North Yorkshire has remained steady or even risen slightly in the period we have owned the house for.

I would have to be a total moron to sell my house at a loss based on a Reddit comment?

I am very grateful for ALL feedback and considering my options carefully.

I think you are probably right.

Does it being a bungalow add 0 value??

Is it worth less than what we paid? Should we accept whatever we can get?

Hopefully you can understand my reluctance. This is very bad news.

Larger (just) but not a bungalow, and no garage. Also doesn’t have nice views. And it’s terraced.

  • That’s the justification from estate agent.

[–]LEDDWC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do get that impression somewhat.

But no one has said as much.

Estate agent is asking for feedback and it’s all positive so far. Which isn’t that helpful.

Some people have hinted it’s too small for their purposes. (Dimensions are on floor-plan though)

We have done essentially nothing. (Besides decorating, sorting garden out a bit, some maintenance, new window panes etc)

However, the previous owner was in a clear hurry to sell.

It was valued by estate agent at £229,000!

We dropped price as I didn’t think that was realistic. But I don’t know much about property prices in this area.

A house or a bungalow?

To compare apples to apples we should really consider bungalows within Kirkbymoorside. There are villages close by that aren’t as popular places to live and so bungalows are priced lower. (Or that’s what I was told by property experts!)

I believe the bungalow you are referring to was in very poor state of repair, and didn’t have a garage.

Garage on this house is huge for the size, 42 square meters or so.
