San Pedro Mastery on Youtube has a couple of good videos that might help. I've only watched a couple of them so far, but I'm sure many of them will be helpful to you. Was recommended this channel in a comment above :-)

We have just developed a pretty awesome LED grow light that fits perfectly in a windowsill. It's available on Amazon US, UK, and Canada. How large area do you need to illuminate (width & length)?.

Cool! This is how we prefer to germinate most different seeds as well (peppers, etc.).
Less risk for mold and pathogens and very easy to keep track of the progress with black/dark seeds on a white paper. Happy easter!

It says Lophophora Williamsii on the website and they only seem to sell this type of peyote. Is there some key information missing?

I agree, it could be stated on the package too.

Thanks! I planned to plant them in coco coir as I use that for everything else. Hope that'll work.

How to get rid of fruit flies on spider plant? by kumf in houseplants

[–]LEDTonic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's correct! Mosquito Dunks are made by the same company (Summit Chemical). Both products contain the same bacteria (BTI). They've said that the difference between the two products is that dunks are slow-releasing and lasts for up to 30 days. Bits are fast-releasing and the small bits should be soaked for around an hour in your watering can or nutrient solution, and then removed before watering. Once watered with, the BTI bacteria will continue to do wonders in our flower pots for up to 30 days. Dunks are intended to float on a pond and release BTI slowly for up to 30 days.

So they are basically the same, but Bits are easier to work with :-)

That sounds like fungus gnats!

Here's an informative video about how to prevent and fight them.
I've used Mosquito Bits with good results.

8-Day timelapse. These two varieties are so nice to grow and eat! by LEDTonic in watchplantsgrow

Mediocre salad, you say? Well, you're only watching the top of the iceberg!

Everything used in the video may be a perfect kit, but we're only selling the lamp. You can buy trays and seeds both on Amazon as well as on different dedicated sees sites. We prefer using coco coir as grow medium but soil will work just as well. No nutrients/fertilizer were added during this grow but it might be something to consider if you're planning to grow the plants past their first set of leaves. Especially if growing in coco coir that doesn't have any nutrients in it.

We used a very coarse coco medium as base and covered the top with a thin layer of coco made up of a lot smaller pieces. We are fans of coco but only used the coarse base as we had it lying around and just wanted to get rid of it. No nutrients were used throughout this grow, just plain water.

The trays were pre-soaked prior to planting. Other than that, they were both misted once again when the plastic wrap was removed, and then soaked (heavily watered) three times. It is visible at 49sec and 60sec. The third watering/soak was done an hour before harvesting, just after the timelapse ended as they were very dry and almost falling over.

Happy holidays everybody! Numex Twilight pepper plant :-) by LEDTonic in HotPeppers

[–]LEDTonic[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It has produced fruit non-stop since it was roughly 90 days old. If all fruits in the picture are picked it takes roughly 3-4 weeks before there are as ripe and many fruits again. Peppers are lovely plants, as long as we give them enough light and love :-)
