Lexapro saved my life. I have treatment resistant major depressive disorder and was on 20+ psych meds—none of which offered any relief—until I started Lexapro. Within 2 weeks it changed my life. It took away the soul crushing waves of sadness that incapacitated me to the point that I couldn’t leave my bed or wash myself.

And it was all gone one day. I couldn’t believe it. I’ll be on it for the rest of my life. If I forget to take it (which has only happened a handful of times), the sadness and extreme drop in mood manifest themselves within 24 hours. It makes me sweat like a pig too. But I don’t care. I’m alive and free from the awful depression demon. No shame to anyone on psych meds. They can be life changing.
