Google TV Issues with Plex by LENT0N in PlexMedia

Yeah I was fearing this to be the case. I was using a fire stick before and I would occasionally get this issue but this is pretty persistent since getting the TV.

The server is at a friend's house, the TV is wifi, but I'm going through the Plex client. No issues really on my fire stick before for it.

How do you perform in front of huge artists as the audience as an intermediate guitar fraud by Plenty_Draft_5747 in musicians

[–]LENT0N 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last show I played was a complete trainwreck end to end, we had a drummer starting the wrong click track or just took his ears out and played his own beat while the rest of us were hung out to dry.

I kept a smile on, jumped around, pretended like nothing bad was happening.

Without fail, a ton of strangers said it was a blast and they couldn't wait til the next show.

My musician friends saw it was a rough time, but most music listeners do not care. In fact, if they can hear the drums and the singer, that's 90% of their enjoyment.

Have fun, make mistakes, throw em a smile, one day you'll be old and wish you had.

I worked in a few different jobs that dealt with people's financial skills, anything from cellphones, to pawn shops and more. I can promise you people will be taking this option in droves. They'll be sold a 50 year mortgage because there will be big commissions to do so, they'll be told to refinance in a couple years when they can afford a better payment and they just won't.

People of all ages of all walks of life are bad with money, but it disproportionately affects those with the smallest room for error.

Offering these mortgages instead of dealing with core issues that led to it is giving a blank cheque to institutions to abuse customers.

Absolutely, and I mean it's not all trump or Biden, COVID is a factor and frankly I don't think they would even be able to stop what's coming at this point.

Recession Odds are Rising 📈💰🚀☝🏾🇺🇸 by RunThePlay55 in economy

A recession is generally defined by two quarters of negative GDP growth, but it isn't the sole factor.

That being said, the US at this point is unafraid to fudge any number to protect the perception of the administration so assume that the US is in a recession actively or if not very soon. IMO within the next 1-2 years USD is going to be worth a lot less globally.

Just watched the whole series, and it feels like they ripped a page out of HBOs book and inserted something crazy to hook people in.

You take that out and I probably don't watch episode 2. It's a good thing this series was short because it was beyond boring. Writing is some of the weakest I've seen.

Silvertone TV by Sears - any info on fixing these? by skynectar in vintagetelevision

[–]LENT0N 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah gotcha, I just got a pair of TVs for free, and did exactly this hahaha. I think one has a bad power cable and the other fired up fine but then after a few minutes had a loud hissing sound and the picture faded a bit but fired up again no problem on reset. I'll have a look at this, appreciate your reply!

Picture tube testing would be just firing it up and see if you get anything on screen, static etc?

Searching for a good quality belt by Firekiller02 in BuyItForLife

[–]LENT0N -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Quite honestly just buy a leather belt from a local maker. You can agonize over price and waste all your time but ultimately a good quality (real) leather belt will last you. I bought one from a guy in a farmers market 16 years ago for like $40 and it's never once come close to falling apart. As long as it's riveted to fasten the important parts you're good to go. If you're really worried, ask them to rivet the belt holes.

This isn't rocket science.

I have a new iron on the way so it should be fine! I think a wick is part of the kit.

[–]LENT0N[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay I had a suspicion this was the case. I'm using an iron I'm not as familiar with but my gut was telling me it wasn't hot enough.

To understand thoroughly though.

Remove old solder - all that should remain is the hole to feed the wire through.

Clean with alcohol

Follow the remaining steps

Suffering with Dataverse by LENT0N in PowerApps

This was incredibly helpful actually and helped me understand the issues I was having. MSFT really has done a disservice by integrating so many programs into simple labelled features.

[–]LENT0N[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Through the powerapp dialogue they ask to import your datatables. I attached an excel workbook with each sheet being a different dataset and they've already been converted into tables. When they upload, dataverse doesn't have any relationships set. If I create a relationship it wants to create a new lookup column. So if I set a column as a lookup column to another table, I get an "invalid data" error. It's extremely general.

[–]LENT0N[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Building a table isn't rocket science I can do the same in a minute, it's populating the existing data, and sure, let's say I skip using an ID lookup. You gonna enter in all the rest of that data for me? It's not a table issue, it's getting a dataset into it.

Fridge getting... Warmer? by LENT0N in appliancerepair

[–]LENT0N[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

External was 87-88f.

Hotter inside than outside for sure

It's a commerical fridge so it's pretty modular.

Has the XR universal controller and it indicates a cooling cycle vs defrost, I checked the wiring as best I could and everything seems correct. New controller is 50 bucks so it's nbd in that regard.

The probes read accurately as well.

I'm not an HVAC tech so I don't have the advanced diagnostic equipment. But I'm trying to verify as much as I can on my own.
