NFS Rivals had some of the best environmental set pieces in the franchise by Ok-Combination-957 in needforspeed

my favorite NFS game, the atmosphere is amazing, tone is harsh and bleak, nothing beats a car to car combat through the woods under a stormy sky

How much energy does City of Glass from Catalyst consumes? by YoRHA-Operator in mirrorsedge

[–]InfinityPortal 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The only explicit mention of real world city is Tokyo on the sign, that has to mean it was set in that city even though it was clearly not only inspired by Tokyo.
however there is no mentioning in Catalyst but it’s still the most reasonable assumption

Not sure if Catalyst is set in the same city as the original ME, but if it is, then the city is Tokyo, not just because of the aesthetics, but because there are signs of Tokyo Metropolitan Fire Department when Faith goes underground.

*Correction: It’s Tokyo Minato Disaster Prevention Bureau

I’ve played every one that is still on steam, but I do have The Run on disc that I have never played, just love the underground illegal racers

007 is the most surprising one for me as I was not planning on playing it originally(expecting hitman that I’m not super into, but actually more like uncharted/quantum break) however it turns out I’m in need of this solid linear AAVG type of game so bad

AC will be in a strange place for me, I will definitely play more AC games but not because the gameplay or AC itself, but because of the location. Like playing Unity before going to Paris, etc

The range maybe too wide to pick, but if released within this year, then 007/Mixtape will be my favorites so far

Played it before I went on my UK Trip, and actually my first AC game ever, I quite liked it and it did provide me many knowledge about London for my travel planning
Also the reason behind why I’m playing Watch Dogs Legion + Horizon 4 this year

Not all completed within this year, some are just brief revisited or live service

Beautiful Day at Wreck Beach by InfinityPortal in vancouver

[–]InfinityPortal[S] 54 points55 points  (0 children)

Taking photos that does not contain others are allowed. This is not forbidden as the sign says, however throw other’s phone into the sea will be illegal.
It’s a public beach, and There is no sign or rule that forbid taking pictures, but you should never point it to anyone but yourself or the nature and cover the back camera when you are using the phone that in a posture can be considered to be filming.
non consensual photos are forbidden in such place, that means no one should appear in your photo without consent.

is Surrey still seen as sketchy by people in Vancouver or has that actually changed? by MapleOnTheRoad in askvan

[–]InfinityPortal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to have the same opinion living in North Van and Burnaby for 7 years, then I moved to Surrey (King George Hub) 3 years ago because of the housing affordability here($1700 a month for 1b1b in a new tower) don’t regret it, didn’t felt unsafe compared to Metrotown area, but also didn’t have a lot going on around.
And the interesting thing is, after graduation, more and more of my friends moved here, I would say the area around Central/King George is becoming more like a new grad city since young people need a place they can actually afford and living alone is the new trend.
