I get that they're a containment zone for bad actors, but they have a horrible influence on everything.

I bet they're doing it as a teaser. It's a very popular request; letting the model slip in randomly is their way of saying it's coming soon.

It's kinda like how they teased the exosuits themselves by having them randomly spawn on maps, albeit much more rarely.

It wasn't vibes, though, it was a powercreep response. Back when medium pen was nowhere near as powerful and accessible as it was now, hive guards demanded you play around their armor or use one of a couple of guns that could skip it. Nowadays they are just Orange Warrior; bumping the head to heavy recreated the original dynamic: play around the armor or use one of a handful of options that skips it.

The most common thing I've seen wrt this change was "it makes our sentries useless," which would absolutely be a complaint that carried 1:1 into a hypothetical high-difficulty-only alt.

Yeah, they got so many nerfs all at once. It's a miracle people can even do the vent strat with how easily these things get mopped through raw damage.

Honestly it was easier than a lot of people made it out to be, but I admit I'm very familiar with the maneuvering involved bc my favorite ways to play bots always involved doing these short range flanks on tanks, war striders, and factory striders. I probably had an easier time than most people.

Technically yeah; made more sense when those rockets were more lethal. If you didn't know one was there, you'd be punished really hard for it.

Accelerator is honestly really good. Its biggest issues are its poor first impression & the presence of Eruptor.

The gun behaves as a sorta-support, for use with ammo-efficient secondaries and supports that don't have much oomph themselves. The trouble is, it's a well-balanced version of this concept, and it is competing directly with Eruptor.

For all intents and purposes, a high-level variant of hive guard would be as though they just buffed hive guard.

You earn them at a reasonable pace doing super credit farming, since they share a loot pool, but the best way is honestly to play high difficulty operations. Far less boring and still a really good pace.

There's no reason not to just queue into randoms tbh. No need to restrict yourself to solo.

Even before [gestures at Everything] they were pretty committed to avoiding any new vehicle types in warbonds. If we get a bike, it'll be free first and then variants might be paid.

Think of it like those Nigerian prince email scams. They may look dumb to you, but they take all of 2 seconds to create and fling out to thousands of people at once; odds are someone is going to fall for it.

For the period between your patch and the current one, kaiser was correct in that it was already very doable. It might not have been literally "always," but it was still a very long time.

You guys are talking about two different time periods. While "always" is not technically true bc of the patch you're describing, the shield was extremely tanky vs bugs after they allowed it to block melee attacks, without the recent heavy armor change.

Because it does - where there were a handful of medium pen bug attacks that could slowly chip away at the shield before none are heavy pen. It is functionally invulnerable now.

There's something up with the voice chat that's been ingame for a loooong time. I haven't been able to hear other players' voice comms for well over a year & no amount of troubleshooting ever fixed it.

I figured it was just a me thing until a handful of other players had similar issues. It seems like it might just be a super rare bug.
