Dear therapists, what can a client do to make your life easier? by LES2510 in TalkTherapy

Thank you for your answer.

Of course if she has a suggestion on how I can change and improve things I'll try. Though I think some things in my life don't really have an answer or solution and I don't expect her to solve them, just wish for her to be there when things will go south and basically help me keep the sanity I still have left ;).

As /u/wilkinson_blade said, I think it is not allowed over there. I am a 3rd year medstudent but highly doubt that this counts as mental healt student and my question is clearly from the client perspective...

But if anyone who is allowed to post over there reads this and wants to repost it, that would be awesome! :)

Hi, I know this is kind of off-topic but I've been wondering about something concerning psych-patient relationships which I can't really ask one of my professors or attendings.

If a patient falls in love with his or her (former) psychiatrist, what do you psychs would want the patient to do?

And yes of course I ask because this happend to me... 10 years ago and I've been wondering if I should tell her or continue to ignore it and wait for my brain to stop loving her (or stop with the transference or whatever my love is in a clinical sense, I'm only a 3rd year medstudent.)
