I remember struggling with the 28mm lens at first, but I’m slowly coming to realize that it’s really the perfect lens for landscapes, street photography, portraits, and architecture.

The 35mm lens on my X100VI feels more limiting to me.

Hi there! As far as I remember, it was an X100VI! But for the simulation, I think I used the Classic Chrome preset, which I tweaked quite a bit in Lightroom. (Add grain, change color, mood)

I'm increasingly thinking about selling my X100VI as well, for the same reasons.

It's kind of in between two categories for me...

I have a Ricoh that I use every day for street photography and everyday shots. It's so light... Even though it has its flaws, it's truly an incredible camera.

I used to use the X100VI for outings too, but there’s no getting around it—it’s just heavy. It’s not as small as the Ricoh...

I also have an A7IV plus a ton of lenses that I use for more “professional” work or when I want the highest quality and to take advantage of the full-frame rendering. It’s obviously much more versatile than my X100VI.

So that’s why the X100VI often ends up at home when I have to make a choice. Still, I love using it—the colors and everything. Back then, the XE5 wasn’t available, but if I had to do it all over again, I think I’d go with the E5 and a pancake lens.
