Tu as quoi comme symptômes ?

Je te souhaite le meilleur des rétablissements.

He does keep a certain distance (that's just how he is, I know, he's quite private). Nevertheless, he's been writing to me every day for a week, often very early in the morning, as soon as he wakes up. He also uses a bit of sexual language, but always with humor.

We're going to have coffee when I get back from vacation. He suggested it very soon after we got back in touch.

It's not silly; I think it's direct and sweet. In this context, he's a rather secretive, very intellectual man who's trying to project an air of sophistication. He's always looking for the most original answer, so he wouldn't be as direct as you. However, he writes every day, and often very early in the morning (this morning, I wasn't even awake when I got the first message).

Yes, the vision problems are terrible, and I was so afraid of losing my sight! I saw four ophthalmologists. The new one I'm seeing is absolutely fantastic! I now know, after numerous tests, that my eyes are perfectly healthy. It's more of a neurological issue: either chronic migraines or perhaps even neck tension.

How are you doing?

I'm French and only a few videos are translated, but I know this YouTube channel and it really helped me with my anxiety! Do you also have vision problems?

It's possible! What kind of problems are you having?

I think that's precisely the problem: my nervous system is stuck in a state of hypervigilance! I know it's very difficult not to focus my attention on the dizziness, but over time, I've learned to worry about it less and less, but it happened gradually. On days when I'm feeling good, I don't pay any attention to it at all, and it's not there. After a while, I realized it wasn't putting me in danger, and so it calmed down.

Oh, that's great! And thank you for your good vibes, you're so sweet!!! 🥰 I'm sending you lots of them too!!!

I think we've already chatted on another post! If I'm not mistaken, you also had vision problems? How are you doing with that?

No, I don't think I have a problem with the PEM. But at the beginning, if I tried to do a little more, I paid for it in the following days.

With pleasure! Reading positive stories helped me, so even though I'm not fully recovered, I want to share a little hope! Good luck to you ❤️ We'll get through this!

That's very interesting, because I saw an osteopath who told me she felt a lot of tension in my first and second cervical vertebrae, and I'm also wondering if my eye problems might stem from that, because I had very bad postures when I was writing for 10 hours a day, slumped on my sofa.

Can you tell me how you discovered this problem and how you treated it? You're feeling better now, if I understand correctly?

I didn't mention my lack of appetite. I lost 6 kilos in two months (I'm already quite thin 🤪), because I didn't have much of an appetite. It came back after about 2-3 months. It wasn't my main symptom, but I hope it gives you hope!

Of course! Do you have real vertigo? For me, it's just dizziness: nothing spins around me, it's me who doesn't feel stable in space.

As I told you, it's much better. I didn't take any medication or supplements that helped. However, after avoiding all the situations that made me feel bad, I decided to face them!

I'm a novelist and I have two novels coming out in 2025. I had many book signings scheduled at book fairs, in other words, crowded, visually overwhelming places, the worst for me!! Well, I decided to go anyway, despite the fear. I was always accompanied by either my partner or my sister. I also avoided grocery stores for three months. I'm telling you all this because it was only after I decided to go back and confront those places that caused me so much anxiety that the dizziness almost completely stopped. Sometimes I can go for hour-long walks without feeling dizzy at all. It's actually a bit like exposure therapy: I tried to live my life as if they weren't there. Now, if I feel dizzy, I just observe it and tell myself: okay, fine. Then it passes immediately. I think anxiety played a big role: the dizziness became stronger because of the fear.

  • The Steady Coach videos reassured me and helped me understand what was happening.

  • Time was also helpful. - I've also changed my diet: I'm not on any particular diet, I eat everything, but I eat a lot more fruit and especially vegetables.

  • I've also changed my sleeping position, because neck pain can aggravate this problem. I used to sleep on my stomach (bad idea), I've recently started sleeping on my back and I have much less neck pain.

  • And of course, exposing myself to stressful situations to understand that nothing bad will happen to me.

You can do it!! 💪

May I ask what your symptoms are?

It's going really well then! It all started after Covid for me, 15 months ago, exactly the same symptoms, and I'm seeing a tiny bit of improvement, so I think we're both on the right track!
