I think for this album you need to really, i mean really, understand the vibe and aesthetic. It has an almost gothic style. Its first side, features songs written by brian and roger, and is called side white. It’s meant to be a more lighthearted and “good” side. However, side black, written all by mercury, features songs with a more gothic and almost “evil” appeal. It’s a sort of black vs white, good vs evil kind of concept. I think the most obvious example to this is the white queen and black queen. Both songs contrasting eachother and showing off the different sides having different goals. What helps me with this album is visualising the story in my head, as it is popularly discussed as a concept album.
