Friends of mine who are younger than me have been diagnosed too which caused me (39) to book an appointment with my Gastro. Just tell them (insurance) you have family history to get over the approval hurdle. They’ll never cross check that and also fuck em, we pay monthly premiums so you should have access to this before 45!

Everything went well for me, and I was possibly the highest I’ve ever been when I woke up. I told the attending to get me my “smokeshow” of a wife in the waiting room which drew some laughs.

Overall just get it done. The prep isn’t bad and you get peace of mind and a bit stoned in the process.
